We have a large membership base, many of whom are expressing other than positive feelings about the posts that have been proliferating Forum 3. A sampling of the viewpoints and sentiments is reflected here:

While we all look forward to Google updates, most of our members are professional webmasters and SEOs who have come to rely on WebmasterWorld as a source of reliable and cutting-edge information on matters relevant to their profession, in particular Google. If many are abandoning or feel they must abandon Forum 3, their needs are not being served. Neither will their absence enhance the experience of our newer members who have to rely on the more experienced ones for reliable information to help with their professional life.

There IS no update until a new database moves over to www. and yet there have been 9 Dominic threads with over 300 posts each - that is close to 3 thousand posts over something that has not happened yet, which is, in actuality so far, nothing more than Google moving data around and performing testing.

WebGuerrilla has compiled an excellent summary for us:

Understanding Dominic - Part 2 [webmasterworld.com]

We have that and numerous threads that were started afterward to read. Other than what we already have, we will just have to wait until concrete verification of an update to go any further.

When there actually is an update and there is something concrete to discuss we will then have some serious discussion. Hopefully we will see participation by some of our senior and experienced members by then, whose presence in the update threads has been noticeably absent.

We're here to serve the needs of the majority of our members, and we need to do whatever best meets that criteria. To that end, we'll be continuing to remove posts that do not constitute an actual duly verified update, as 3 Moderators and several Administrators have been busy doing around the clock for a number days.

If results are seen moving to www and are seen remaining there for several hours straight, please stickymail moderators and/or admins so that we can verify that an update has actually occurred and take it from there.

Thanks to everyone, and good luck with your sites.
