Okay,

If you start a query with [allintitle:], Google will restrict the results to those with all of the query words in the title. For instance, [allintitle: google search] will return only documents that have both "google" and "search" in the title.

From a search in google for "allintitle"

You must try it sometime.

SinclairUser explained what it is. Now you can use this query to know how many Pages are Actually competetive. This is because any page which has SEO done on it will utilize the title. Hence instead of seeing 200k results returned you can use this query to see how many are actually competing with you. After this query you can use
allintitle:"Your keyword"

and then
allinanchor:Your keyword

This will give you of a fair idea of who you have to go after and which pages to study.

I will stop here unless i write down a whole essay on Pre optimization techniques...;)

Hi,

Whats the exact function of "allinanchor"?

By the way are there any more of these Google specialities?
Or is there a place(site) where all these special functions are in a kind of manual
?
Thanks and Regards,
Sanuk

What do you think is wrong with my site when I do a allinanchor search for "widget" and my site comes up #1.

However, when I do a keyword search for widget on www-sj my site does not show up at all?

Please comment

I've just discovered this forum which looks really useful.
This particular section is teaching me new things already.

With the all title thing I checked my name.

One of my sites is www.example.com

It doesn't come up and yet it is in the title.

Can anyone explain why?

You may want to delete you URL before a mod. does and you get in trouble. See the Terms of Service - it's not allowed.

To answer your question, google see's your URL as the one word between "www." and ".org" - that's not the same as the keyword you used.

A "dash" in between the two words in the URL would solve that.

<EDIT: wow - Heini is quick on the button today! To clarify, his situation is actually:-

allintitle keyword search for "smith" does not show up his domain "smithexample.org">

Ok and thanks.
It looks like someone edited the url. :-)

I'd better read the small print again. :-)

Anyway, if thats true then would I need to buy another domain name?

In any case...why? Cause the word nicholaston is in the Title.?
