Which datacenter am I seeing?

When I search for *widgets* I, the results seem to be changing. Sometimes Google serves up the results from -fi and sometimes from -ex, and then from -fi the next time.

Is there a way to see which datacenter the results are being taken from? What causes the rotation among datacenters throughout the day?

Your served different datacenters mostly due to your location and the load on them.

for example, Europe users often get served with with an ip which ends with .99 or .104

Having seen -sj and -fi show a result for my page from early April for the last few weeks, I was surprised tonight to see them now display a result that must have been taken in the last week or so; the cache has been updated, also new title and description are showing. These results are still different to the other datacentres in some ways, but are at least now showing recent rather than old data. On other datacentres the site was refreshed every few days, but these two remained stuck on old data for over 5 weeks.
