Dynamic Links - Did Google Learn?

It seems Google recognizes dynamic links sometimes

I was just checking a few competitors links at Google with the "link:www.domain.com" query and got a few odd results. There are pages where I canīt find static links at all. For example, one link is coming from a larger shopping directory where all external links look like this:

www.domain.com/Redirect.php?cat=1896&fid=2&mid=525&mct=blabla, you get the idea.

So far, I thought Google does not recognize these dynamic links. The shopping directory mentioned above is well known and I donīt think the webmaster getting the link has any influence there - so no cheating, cloaking or anything like that. This *might* mean Google learned to follow these links, or am I missing something? Any ideas?

at the last pubcon in Boston Matt Cutts stated that google is getting better at reading dynamic links (but keep the length down to two variables)

Google successfully follows quite a few dynamic links on my site. Usually seems to drop most of the variables after the first one though, so what you find following the link from Google SERP isn't always what was at the original link. Generally working well though.
