I am very new to SEO and the webmaster of <snip>. When I go to my site and then click the backward links on the google toolbar then I just get only 2 results. Even those 2 results does not contain any links to my site. I have checked cached page also.
Now If I type "<snip>" on google, I get lot of results and they do have my website link.
So my problem is why the google is not showing my backward link due to which I think my pagerank is also affected.

You may want to edit your post, as url drops are not allowed.
Your question is very common, and browsing through
[webmasterworld.com...]
will give you all the answers you need, alternatively a site search for "backlinks" etc will bring up many many answers.

Google only shows links from PR 4 and above. It does count links from below PR 4 but just does not show them.
The proper way to get those backlinks is to type link: www.yourdomain.com/
I suggest you have a peak at this forum's library [webmasterworld.com]. It's where good posts are saved.
You will find a lot of info about this.
