Is this a first. Have we ever seen Google behaving like this before?

The weird stuff with the SJ index, GoogleGuy offering answers that some might say turned out to be "incorrect", such a long update that seemingly never settles down?

For a while freshbot even appeared to "disappear."

Is this a first?
