PR0 or Penalty?

Can we get a summation of what indicates a PR0 penalty.

I have been reading a couple days on the 'pr0' penalty and there is so much confusion for me and a lot of others that I was hoping someone could clear it up.

What sorts of things indicate a pr0 penalty?

How long does the average penalty last?

I have a site that has been around for 2 updates, got spidered deep only once (to the tune of 10 hits) has several (50 or 60) pr4+ links but none show in google.

when I run the query site:wwWebmasterWorldidgets.com -adfkjhkashd it returns around 200 pages so I am still in the index even though im not showing too well in the serps (because of the pr0 I presume) and I dont know if I have incurred a penalty or maybe google just has not got around to assigning me a PR yet.

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin, new sites with no good links can be PR0 with no penalty.

If your site has been around for months with some decent inbound links that have also been around for a while, it COULD mean a penalty. If you have 50+ PR4+ links, it's unusual that you would show PR0. The duration of such a penalty (if it is one) is impossible to predict. Sometimes they last indefinitely. Sometimes Google mass-lifts penalties applied some time earlier. Recently, Google implied that certain kinds of penalties might be lifted in a month or so if the condition causing the penalty is removed promptly. Good luck!
