I have found a couple link exchange sites where your website url would show up on their site and was wondering if this is spam or illegal to google. Help me out! Thx

Hi Bob,

There are dozens of threads here on the topic of linking penalties. Your best bet would be to start with the site search (upper left of the page) and do some searches for:

link farms
artificial linking
cross linking

Those should conttain what you need.
