Back after months - Questions

I haven't read the Google group for months, can someone please clarify a few things for me?

1. Is google no longer doing the scheduled "dance"? Are they now on an ongoing update process?

2. Is there truth to the assumption that Google may have banned all sites that have invisible links in the latest update? What exactly does 'invisible link' mean in the search engine world?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

maybe you made the right decision (update reading wise).

I would come back in a week's time and read up on whats going. Things look to be a bit different - implementation wise.

'invisible link' penalties might still be imposed in the near future - there was talk about that. Basically they are links hidden from the normal user, but seen by spiders as far as I can gather. Google says it does not like that.
