Just 7 Hours For New Pages To Get P1!

Launched my new site with 7 optimised pages late Sunday afternoon. Monday 9am and getting email inquiries for prices. Rather surprised, as I haven’t yet submitted to Inktomi, so just how did these people find the site? So, I checked my main page in Google for my optimised terms and was amazed to find that they all came up page position 1! Then checked all the other pages and most terms came back page 1 and all in the top 3 of serps!

Now I'm very experience at SEO but have never seen this happen before. I know it’s probably the everflux but to have the entire site indexed in just 7 hours is unbelievable!

I assume that you have linked to this site - or was it using the Google Submit URL...or from a directory?

Same experience a couple of days ago -- good ranking, top 3.

But hey, today they have gone MIA!

Guess its freshie doing its usual routine. Too early to celebrate.

Actually, this is just a freshbot listing, you won't be in the index yet. Same thing happened to me - you'll probably drop out a couple of times until you get in the full index.

It's a nice feeling when it happens like that though and at least you've been given early warning that your website is going to do well in the SERPS.

Yes I know. But what has surprised me is that every page has been crawled and picked up.

I think it's nice it happened within a few hours, but to get all the pages when there's only 7 is not at all unusual.

What is good is your SERP listing - that's really useful to know now that you're doing all the right stuff.

I have had this happen recently a couple of times, within one day. It's very reasuring on one hand but disconcerting on the other -- being that freshbot listings are begining to have the ability to significantly influence the index ( all be it tempoarily ) without warning.

If freshbot visits your homepage from an existing link, it will also grab all links found on that page. It seems to be moving from refreshing individual pages to conducting mini top level crawls.

I added another 10 pages all optimised for many different terms and 3 hours later all those pages appear page 1 for all the different search terms. I wish it was always like this!

If G were to follow its old tradition after Dominic, it is likely that your new site will soon disappear from the index and you'll have to wait for 1 or 2 updates before it really shows up consistently. Just guesing your PR is still grey and that is what going to occur.

I've had new domains out all month and submitted
to google, and have links from older sites,
and the bar *IS STILL GREY*.

This is got to be a lucky coincidence?

What's the best way to get freshbot's attention?
Am I missing something?

Had the same experince, a great listing in 1 day. Then my site disappeared in a day or so and then pops in and out of the serps until fully listed.

I would like to know if this is true with your site as well.

As a point of interest the site has now generated 4 orders for LCD and Plasma Screens totaling £12,000 What other type of marketing process could do that in just a few days, none! As a businessman I would willingly pay a submit fee to Google to ensure updates and new sites are always up so quick. Any thoughts on that GG?

That varies greatly by product offering. I have Adwords-only accounts that are terrific.

My new site's ranking in google is driving me to distraction. It is a fairly competitive keyword 140000+ but I bounce from position#7 to 14# to 8# where it settled for a few days (champagne corks popping) and now we are page 4. One of my other main keywords which was ranked in unison has now completely disappeared. Is this just everflux?

You'll bounce around all over the place for the next 6 weeks, and disappear for a few days now and again. Been there, done that [webmasterworld.com]. All seems rock solid now though.

I have about 400 web sites but not doing that well with Google free traffic.

I am doing pretty good with your premium advertising for about $15,000 a month and I am doing good with Adwords for about $4,000 a month.

I never though to ask but maybe now because you guys at Google like to 'without charging anyone' maybe it's my chance. ;)

Freshbot gone missing - last seen in action 14th - website owner worried for Freshbot safety.

I know it is sad :( - Its Just when you look at your logs on daily or even sometimes hourly basis and we dont see our little fresh friend you do get worried.

Just a small addendum to my google dance. logged on this morning back to paqe 2 on google for both main keywords. Went happily off to lunch now back on page 4 for one keyword and dsisappered for other keyword. Was I just dreaming this morning?
