i have a site and when searching with :

site:domain.com domain
inurl:domain.com
allinurl:domain.com

i get Results 1 - 20 of about 27

but when i go to next page i get "Results 21 - 22 of about 27.". no matter what i do i cant display or see the rest.where are pages 23-27 if they are in google?google says i have 27 pages in database but no matter what i do i can only dispaly 22!

why are others missing and how to check all of them?what are other ways of searching for your site in google?

It leave simple links out. You might see a link to let you see simuler links. After than then it's the Googlebot doing bad counting.

Hi I think this happen when you have similar pages.

Try to have a look at the end for something saying:

In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 3 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included. [www.]

I've also wondered? The omitted results page does not always account for this. I'm just guessing, but maybe there are an additional 5 links on the pages already indexed by Google since they will only list one link per page. This could easily be checked. Maybe they actually index more. Whether Google will index more than one link per page to the same page could also easily be checked using two links with different uncompetitive anchor text.

le_gber, i checked and it is not this. what could be answer is that 5 lates pages are missing. one explanation could be that google visited links but didnt index new pages. :)

Nope, that isn't it. I have seen that type of message several times where there is no way to access the extra results at all.

a·bout
adv.
Approximately; nearly: The interview lasted about an hour.

I'm assuming it guesses at the complete number, perhaps it's a cached and depends on what servers you hit as to whether you get ALL the pages available throughout the entire server farm...

that's why they say "about X" instead of "exactly X"

Or so I'd imagine :p

The greater the number of results, the greater the number of "missing" pages at the end. I don't think I've ever searched a term where it actually showed all the results indicated by the "about" number.

I always thought the missing pages were pages with a low PR...
