Surprice to see my index page without the www version is being indexed. Anything I need to do? Any side-effects?

Similar problem had occured with our site - suffered a PR loss from 6 to 3 for the www. version.

Choose one of the URLs and server side redirect the other.

I also had this happen to me in the Cassandra update, with a fairly low PR being given to the domain.com version but regular PR for the www.domain.com version.

However, with this update, Google seems to have figured out what is going on, and now the domain.com version is showing it as not being indexed (no backlinks to it at all, either) while the www version is fully indexed, with PR and backlinks.
