Why is it that sometimes when you search for something some people sites get a double showing in the search results.. with one of them indented?

I've got quite a few 1st & 2nd results and they are listed the same as the others, so sorry I can't help you

It means the site has two (or more) pages which rank very well for that search query. Google never shows more than two pages per site per search query though.

Unless you check aol.co.uk

For me it's usually the product or description of service page rank #1

and the home page #2

My legal disclaimer page often comes in at #2 which is a real bummer because it gives the game away and basically says that we do not vouch for the accuracy of the info on the site and take no responsibility whatsoever!
I'm a lawyer lol

For one of my targeted keyword (a very competative one) the same page is show twice :-P

5. My URL (optimize page for targeted keyword)
6. My affiliate URL (same optimized page)
