Hi, was looking for a little help. On Friday I was number one on google under <keyword>. Now I have dropped from sight. I looked at one other post on this forum relating to the same thing and it was suggested that they go to www-sj.google.com. I looked there and I was number 1 again! But what is www-sj.google.com? I have never heard of it. What relevance does it have to my page being moved? This is all so confusing! Thanks for any help y'all can give me.

Blelisa, welcome to WebmasterWorld

What you are experiencing is the Google update. Google serves their results from several different datacenters, the sj being one of those.

Basically you should wait for the update tosettle, which may take everything from one to several days.

Or, check out the ongoing update thread, where you will find lots of members discussing the ongoing update.

Hi Blelisa
and welcome to WebmasterWorld! ;)

www-sj.google.com is Google's San Jose Data Center where they basically compile the search index and eventually swop this data with google.com (or what is currently there now).

www2.google.com
www3.google.com

is the best place to watch to see how you will fair in the new index.

Also note: this is a work is progress and as such listings will change as the index is built.
