How can it be that I have 192 visits from Googlebot 2.1 and only 5 pages indexed.

I used to get a full crawl, but google has dropped most of my pages...itīs been 3 months now!

I used to have som bot called google 17, google 18 and so on... havenīt seen them....are they still around?

The google homepage tells me to wait, but something must be wrong...an I allowed to post my URL in case someone would like to take a look?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com] CasperH

Best not post the URLs of the pages you are having problems with, against the ToS for the board :)

Were the pages in the index in the past?

Do the pages have any PR?

Try the search allinurl:www.yourdomain.com on Google and it will tell you what is in the index at present.

Could anything on the page be regarded as shady tatics/spam?

Hi Craig and thanks for helping out

I have a few pages in the index, but onle HOW TO CANTACT US and HOME...there is 1 product group out of 20?

and YES...they were in the index in the past.

I dont think there is any spam. If there was would that only ban those pages? I thought it would ban the whole site?

Is a long TITLE regarded as tactics/spam? Not that they are changes since i was in the index (but maybe google have?)

I have a few long?id=3&this=here&that=thereand=soon
I read that it could be a problem, so I have already made them shorter.

I have a PR. The top domain have 4 and the pages in the docs in the folders have 2

Is it enough to bevisited by Google2.1?
I donīt se the crawlers any more?

Does your site hand out session ID's?

I'm in almost exactly the same boat, for all of my sites. Taking one as an example, a site with 29 pages (27 at the time of the April crawls) of plain, vanilla HTML 4.01, not a single image, no redirects, no session ID's, no shady tricks of any sort at all, and a PR of 2 with about ten external links that I know of (six according to ATW). Received 54 visits from Googlebots in the month of April, hit every page exactly twice, it appears.

Last week, G! showed all 27 pages. The -fi and -sj indices now show 18 pages, by-and-large the oldest 18 pages, with one newer one from late March of this year.

A newer site, with 23 pages, also PR 2, fully spidered by Google in February, March, and April, showed 12 pages in the "old index" last week, now shows none.

And I haven't a clue about my largest site, which went from about 40 pages/27 indexed to 78 pages / 22 indexed, again all the oldest pages from months ago. I don't care if Google doesn't add in the backlinks and PR until later; where's the pages to give/receive links and PR?

There is a huge chunk of the April crawl that is not included in the current database that everyone is calling an update.

I would be patient for a little longer. I think we are seeing Google move to more of a rolling update model rather than the usual once a month updates.

My guess is the missing content from the April crawl will begin showing up around the 15th.

YES YES YES YES YES............

www2 and www3 are showing them now.

I cut off som parameters, but im not sure thats what did it.

All my products catagories are indexed (after 2― month of nothing!)

Ankheg>>> I had also some of my very old pages in the index
Same situation!

All I have done is made my?id=2&this=that shorter
The pages with 1 parameter was indexed first and now the rest came.

Thank you very much everybody...

PS: trillianjedi >> it does, but the site is still showing the products if youīre not using cookies
