Can you pitch into this?

Since the deep crawl just launched can we start to see if there is some correlation to the PR and the time the crawl happened? Let's just look at the index, otherwise it will get real complicated, and only deep crawl not freshbot (216.x, not .

Here is mine:

_Date_______Time_________PR_
2003-04-16 00:39:55 EDT 5

Maybe there is something, maybe there isn't.

The ancillary question is how can we take advantage of this information if it is related...

I'm sure I've seen one or two threads on this in the past couple of months but the only thing I can find is this one [webmasterworld.com] from way back in 2001.

You'll find:

Google's engineers flat out told me they crawl in descending PageRank order now.

and

On this forum, we had the "descending order of PageRank" crawling characteristic figured out months ago.

Don't think Google has changed. Still crawls higher PR pages first then down to mutts like me.

hmmm...I have an as of yet unindexed page that was crawled very early on. Does that mean my page is going to be high PR? Or does it just mean I have a link from a high pr page?
