PR on password protected and non indexed page

Why are these pages ranked by google?

I have password protected and "no index, no follow" pages that show significant page rank. What good is it to have PR on these pages? Why would the algo bother to rank these pages?

Do these pages deplete page rank from other pages?

I've seen the same thing on our site from the time I first downloaded the toolbar. The pages are not indexed, however. It is simply the toolbar estimating what the PR would be if the page was indexed. Same as when you first put up a new page and see a PR, although clearly the page is not indexed as of yet.

Is there a such a thing as depleting page rank? Even if there is, the answer has to be no, if the page isn't indexed.
