Fresh me up, deep me down.

Freshbot hits improve SERPs, update kills it.

What might cause this. Two weeks ago a site was number nine in the SERPs. A week ago it jumped up to three and now after the supposed update it's 12th. What's up with that?

Hmm... a rather wild swing.

From what I understand when freshbot sees new content you get a temporary PR boost, hence the fresh up, deep down pattern

my site is showing the title and description of a placeholder page that hasn't been up for about two weeks. I keep getting new fresh dates, but no change in title and description. now it looks like this is going to go on right through another month. any idea what might be causing that?

Is the placeholder page still there?

Patience. If after the next update it's not gone then worry.

that's what I was planning to do, but seeing the fresh date update almost daily without seeing any change in the listing had me a little worried.

Hmm... What kind of code are you using (HTML, XHTML, etc.)?

Unusual. Very unusual.

I'd hold out for a little bit longer though.
