I have link on DMOZ. There is maybe 2-3 weeks.
On www2 my site has DMOZ description, but not DMOZ link.

On DMOZ my link name is the same like my home page name - targeting keywords. (3 words)
But on www2 my site (home page) is somewhere between #200-300.

GG I need your opinion, also!

PS. On Fast my site is #1 for the same keywords!

I guess you'll get to see the boost from the link with the next update.
Apart from that: One link is in a competitive area not much. Ranking in Google takes lots of factors into account.
Work on your links, work on your site, read webmasterworld (tip: start with the library on top of this forum's index page) and ranking will follow.

Hello ...... Newman.

I'm seeing DMOZ backlinks in general. But are you saying that you have only had this for 2 or 3 weeks? If so, you'll probably need to wait until next update to see that backlink. It likely wouldn't have been there during the deepcrawl.

Thanks heini! Thanks taxpod!
I have a lot of links from the others sites.

Probably that is true - next update.
But why Google shows DMOZ description and link not?
I’m suspicious.

Google gets the description from the DMOZ RDF dump. Google gets the backlinks from actually spidering dmoz.org. Google may have an RDF dump generated later than when they spidered dmoz.org.

I have DMOZ problems too. They moved my listing within DMOZ and it has not now come through as a link to my site. I've dropped on all my keywords (I think DMOZ is very important). Possibly, I think DMOZ may have been offline when Googlebot came through, or there was a delay between me being taken out in one place and being put back in the other. I'm assuming my link will come back next month.

I get the impression that DMOZ is trying to clean itself up a little. But others here will know more than me.

If you can see your site listed at dmoz.org Brian, Google should find that link next month. Looks like some temporary glitch.

Google sometimes does strange things during the update. Wait for it to settle down.

What do you mean by 'not showing link'? Do you use the link: option? Links from lower PR pages don't always show.

Somebody must know for that problem.
Waiting for next update…?
Without solution! No, please no…
