Hi,

I am building a new website using a lot of .js filesto hide some part of the code (example : formatted tables, static informations, etc...)
I think that it makes the page lighter, and that I can concentrate on the content relevant to the search engine.

Is there a risk in doing such a thing (Search engines could think for instance that I am hiding some content completely unrelated to what actually the page claims to display)?

SE can't read js (as far as I know) so you shouldn't have any problems)

Well, looks like a big hole then. Anybody can then put what ever he wants to be displayed in a JS file, and optimize is actual html content to rank well in search engine listing for a complete unrelated content!
