1.7 million page views in a month used to get me a lot more money back in the day. I’ll finish February down 8% from 2023.

Interesting is that all www. have higher revenues than the without www. version of the same domain.

Is it possible to visit the non-www version of your domains? They should be 301 redirected to the preferred version.

What report on Adsense shows www vs non www?

Thank you.

@allhearts

The general "Sites - Performance of Each Site" report shows me the www and non-www reporting.

The "View Report" link on the "Sites - Today So Far" panel on the Adsense homepage also shows this.

If you can paste a www. URL from your site and also visit the www. domain you should decide which one to use and set up your GSC for that domain. If using a www. URL takes you to the non-www domain then you have a rewrite in place. In that case you'd only need to check that it is a 301 and not a 302.

If www redirects to non-www using 301 then it is most puzzling why they report both domains.

Adsense was already heading in the worse direction possible and now the dashboard isn’t counting views correctly. Whoever is the manager needs to be fired!

I have started to use the Ad blocking recovery for 20 sites and after 6 weeks the Allow-ads conversion rate is 6 % which means that 6 pc of the user of adblockers have accepted the ads.
Not bad as a tool

Welcome to the low RPM club. I've had an 80% drop since mid-March. How to live?
10 years, no problems. Now I don't understand anything.

In my case, Adsense also recently started to show www and non-www domains. 301 redirection has been done and tested a long time ago and it is a mystery to me why Adsense suddenly started showing statistics for www. and non www.

All non-www traffic for me for 7 years straight, but I did change my main site to www only today.

Things have been really going downhill for the last couple of years, and since the first weekend of march it has drastically gotten worse.

Always heard you are better off using www, finally found the courage to do it, what do I have to lose...

The drop started progressivelly in Feb 23 to achieve the abyss in Jan 2024. Since exactly Feb 1 I m back to Jan 2023 level.
Today against 2022 my RPM is 50 % less however it was unusual high given the industry it covers.
It s not only MFA but with an appropriate content (I have 25 years experience in this sector).
Again , I see a correlation between quality content and ads content.

I put a banner from AdsTerra on a website in parallel for tests. I was shocked to notice a colossal difference in page views between Google Adsense and AdsTerra. Concrete case in just 8 hours:

Page views on AdsT.: 5173
Page views on Adsense: 1,562

Do you want to do a test to see if the counting is wrong for you too?

It is very strange. Since there is an RPM on the ground, aren't all the displays counted? Although on the website I have 6-7 ads on each page (no exception)

@daniel1213,

interesting for sure, kind of makes you wonder if it's worth giving EZOIC another chance...

Quoting Adsterra blog

„If 5 users have seen one ad on one page, you get 5 impressions. If one user has seen 5 different ads while navigating your website, you also will get 5 ad impressions. And if one user has seen one ad five times, it will also count for 5 ad impressions.„

That's right, but Google Analytics, Google Search Console and other data are very close to AdsTerra. Actually AdsTerra can be any other network. The network is not the problem, but that after the "limitation of ads" and the terrible decrease in income following the CPC->CPM transition, the displays are still made, Google receives money from the displays made by my network of 19 websites, but unfortunately receipts are 98% lower. Suddenly, overnight... I'm starting to think it's time to turn my attention to other advertising networks. I'm tired.

may be it s a good decision
All about the specifics of the website
During frustrating months I ve tried a couple of other advertisers.
But I remained loyal to G. On a win win basis

For my part, since this weekend I've experienced a slight decrease, but that's normal due to the holidays. It's a shame because I would have liked to take advantage of a full month. But in this case, I can't blame anyone. It's just that time of year. Now I'm waiting to see what April will be like, but unfortunately, there are also public holidays then. Thankfully, there are fewer.

Hello all, and @daniel1213, your stats from AdsTerra v. Adsense are eye-opening. I've seen my impressions and page views drop by huge amounts, 80% or more, over the past two years. Google has been caught "shadow-banning" various sites in the past, so not trusting them is probably a good idea.

I just installed an adserver for my sites so I can start serving my own ads where I want, when I want, without Google intervention. The app is called Revive Adserver and it is fully functional, takes some learning, but has tracking of impressions, clicks, etc. Open source, been around 20 years. I mention this because I'm sure I can do better selling ads myself than Google's pennies per day (and I mean that literally; I seldom break $1 when years past $5-10 pr day was the norm).

I just mention Revive because you can serve ads to multiple websites, and because some people here may be looking for alternatives. I'm not very techy, so it will take me some time to get up to speed, but I'll report on my progress. For now, I'm fiddling around, making ads for various pages and features of my sites and have other projects going. Anyhow, some of you may want to check out doing your own thing. The more webmasters who take matters into their own hands, the better for us and not for G.

Best wishes to all.

Things were going GREAT and increasing until mid-February around the 14th. Ever since then, my traffic has been decreasing weekly. I know there was a big SERP update during that period, and my rankings were hit, but I haven't figured out why. Still, I am starting to look for a job. I can't continue to absorb these fluctuations.

Traffic was up 9%, and now it's down 9% from 2023.

Checking my numbers I m now more confused and think we have the wrong assessment.
The new remuneration model is far to be transparent but try to understand why some isf us are going south and others going north.
My RPM used to be until 2022 quite high as said ( really high) now it s 30 % of it.
My „concerns“ are that I m seeing early in the morning a small website making 5 cts with one view… which means an RPM of 50 ?

Question: how many ads do you display per page?

Sissi

8:55 am on Mar 26, 2024 (gmt 0)

3 in page max
And the rest is auto ads
I understand your question but I don t think putting 10 adds will multiply the RPM by 10
It s more complex

@Sissi And for automatic ads, what limit have you set?

Down 18% from 2023 and I believe the biggest reason why is the fact that Adsense stop counting half of my views. I contacted Wordpress and they confirmed my viewers are showing correctly on their end and on SiteKit (Google). Whatever is happening seems like sabotage to me.
