I use Auto ads alongside manual ad placements. The manual placements are proven territory so no sense moving/removing them.

Auto Ads helps because some pages turn out loooong lists - so they're good gap fillers. They also split paragraphs of articles pretty randomly, I dont mind. The balance between the two has been optimal for me revenue-wise.

August begins with an improvement in CPC, but if the relevant calculations are made, the CPC actually continues to decrease, as well as the RPM, page views, impressions, CTR continues with a constant increase, these statistics are not understood, bad accounting, It is as if they added and subtracted wrong every day.

-Even after a day or more, the CPC of previous days is modified by a lower one, never a higher one.
-They constantly eliminate clicks.
-Lower income from time to time.
-Total amounts decrease from one day to the next.

It seems like a monthly salary for editors, every month they charge more or less the same, and this is impossible.

In the Spanish forums it is already commented that they have set a "fixed salary", for some editors more and for others less, the relationship of the established salary is not yet known, it can be by category, by traffic, by country...

In my case, I have been with the same amount each month for 6 months, euros up or euros down, but the same income.

Realistically, any pub's still earning around or more than $10,000 monthly with AdSense? i'm between $2,000 and ~$5,000 per month last two years.

I have speculated that there has been revenue throttling for a while now. There are many days where it seems like my revenue is going to break through this glass ceiling early in the day, and then it gets tapered back at the end of the day. Or, conversely, revenue starts off very slow in the beginning of the day, and then gets strong at night…but not strong enough to go beyond the ceiling that I keep hitting.

And for the record, "Optimize existing ads" in "Auto Ads" should be enabled/checked if you have some manual ad placements?

Earnings are not enough to even cover hosting charges. 90% compared to last year. This year will not even catch 30% of last year earnings.

I always leave that checked, figure it cant hurt things. Google knows their system better than I do so have at it.

Sometimes you get a 'double ad block' situation where one gets place over the other (autoad under or over a fixed placement) but, oh well, I can live with that occasionally.

I’m trying to turn auto-ads off for a few days, to see if it pushes my cpc back up on my placed ads.

One of the problems I see is the personalized ads have twice as many impressions as the contextual ads but with an RPM that is half of what the contextual ads have. I'd be a happy camper if it were the other way around and an even happier camper if personalized ads had never been invented.

My RPM for July was 52% down compared to July 2022.
I hope we see an improvement soon. It's terrible.

I have been using Adsense since 2009. The RPM is still the same it was then. LOL Not even really worth creating content for pennies. Should be seeing at least $10-$15 avg RPM nowadays. Still stuck in the $3-$5 RPM range. I really have lost faith in the company.

In my case, I'm experiencing the well-known drop in July and August, stronger than in other years, just like the other months of the year so far. But I take advantage of these two months to prepare myself for the period from September to December. New sites that I strive to get approved by AdSense as quickly as possible to make the most of these 4 months and try to catch up. I no longer ask myself or hope that it will get better. I want more money, I need more sites that generate it. There's really no choice; just waiting for things to get better is not enough.

My rpm used to be high 2 digits if not 3 digits some days in 2021 it is now lower 2 digits

Down about 35% over August last year. And last August was already down compared to year before. As far as I am concerned, I am displaying ads for free. But the advertisers do pay Google for the privilege.

Did something change with adsense in March? I’ve been going over my reports and there was a massive split from views and rpm
