I'm glad the website isn't dead but I believe I found something that could decrease my earnings. I've a community so visitors generate a lot of pageviews. Since a couple of hours I see blanks where I don't have a passback or I see a lot of ads from my passback. So if a visitor generates a lot of pageviews Adsense stops to show ads from the network... not even with Admanager and other networks. I've to find out how to solve this.

It's frustrating to improve and improve just like the advices at the dashboard. Even switching from 728x90 above the fold to 970x250... not that good for user experience...

Today I've contacted someone who will sell adspace directly to advertisers. With the finance niche and the biggest in it's kind in that country it's not that difficult. So I'm probably changing the setup from:

Affiliate ads -> Header bidding -> Adsense

To:

Direct sales -> Affiliate ads -> Header bidding -> Adsense

Never expected that Adsense was only good for the left overs.

Not sure why I haven't seen this before, but I've noticed a discrepancy between different Adsense reports/views for the same day. For instance, I viewed the detailed "Report by Sites" view for a particular day and see something like this: 722 clicks and 125,000 page views. Then, I will view the SAME day in the "Report by Days" view and see 846 clicks and 130,000 views. Why do I see different numbers for the same day? Does your report show this? BTW, the "Report by Days" view is always higher.

This is nerve-wracking, really.
2-3 bad days followed by a promising one, but that's it, the next day is much worse.
It's like the system is rebooting for too much load.

Have never seen so low CPC. Even the worst day had better earnings. CPC of 0.02$ is nothing compared to average .12$ I had last year.

Usually we have CPC 0,04$ to 0,06$ but now(since 2019) CPC is 0,02$.

But I bet Alphabet (Google) will report record breaking earnings soon. And with low quality of ads or fraudulent ads a normal partner would compensate the publisher but this monopolistic company wouldn't.

So why doesn't start Facebook or Amazon with ads as competitor for Adsense?

My CPC has been all over the place.

Averaged between 10p and 27p per day over the month.

On another very low traffic website, I am using another much much lesser known company that pay $2 per 1000 ad impressions and it is only a fraction less than I am seeing from Adsense on a high volume site.

2 usd cpm is usually for US visitors only and is low for this.
Non-US is peanuts or 0.

This may make you feel better about Adsense - or not.

I've had one fairly well-known ad network pestering me for a while about trialling their CPM ads. They promised me all kinds of untold wealth, outperforming Adsense by 50-200%. After research and due diligence, I got bored and agreed to try them through April on one site that has historically done poorly with Adsense.

The outcome? Pitiful. After a week, the CPMs are half of Adsense's. Their inventory looks OK but a good chunk of it just waterfalls to Adsense resellers or my own Adsense. Scrutiny of Analytics also suggests they're underreporting impressions.

TL;DR - the grass ain't any greener.

My CPC was 0.01Euros on April 3rd and 0.08Euros on the same day of 2018. Those who have websites targeted to the US are in a privileged segment when compared to those targeting low-income countries. Nevertheless I don't understand what kind of ads are Adsense serving with so low CPC.

Maybe it's all about video advertising these days and young people watch them a lot. Maybe it's just content that's not interesting anymore...? But still strange like I've showed before that the CTR suddenly halved or more.

I really hate video ads and on Youtube is really a pest infested situation.
First week was dead on adesense, but more on Adx, sonbig advertisers are standing by.
One network asked me to implement negative keywords on pages for a big advertiser :(

RPM is really close to hitting all time lows. What is going on? I did opt into the auto optimize stuff, maybe I need to get out of that.

I posted a new article 5 hours ago and it was getting a lot of traffic, checked my article and NO adense ads on it, its doing that Ad Delay thing again when they dont show ads on your article sometimes hours or days later until you can see some.

anyway checked my adsense account and only 4 clicks for 30 cents.

Can oonöy confirm that Adsense has a serious problem with:

The lowest historical RPM for us yesterday while this week and today (Sunday) a couple of 2 digits CPC for some domains.

Unusual constellation: 5 unimportant domains are currently dominating our revenues.

Optimization doesn‘t make sense also not with SEO.
The fact that Adense is not communicating means that there is problem here.
Wait and see.
