@Kash1111 Just on your site? But some ads are indeed slow (Netflix).

@yaashul

I am not sure they look like, async.

@MayankParmar

On my phone I have a 10mbps download speed, every site I visit which I know has adsense, I have not seen one ad, since I am done reading the content before they load. You are right though some ads do load quickly and I see them straight away, it's not just Netflix ones, there are many others.

Regarding my website, it loads fast on my phone, but the ads don't.

Kash1111, did you test your webpage on this testing site? how many second does your page take to load? [testmysite.thinkwithgoogle.com...]

Thank you appreciate it, but I don't think you understand its not a website speed issue, rather waiting for the ads to load.

I have noticed a dramatic drop in clicks on the link units since Google made changes to the link units about a week back, anyone else notice this?

I thought May would be better than April. But looks like this is the new average.

@deriklogov, it looks like things just seem to be getting worse from Month to Month.

Jan-apr wasnt that bad, may both traffic and rpm down which make it worse. I guess its beginning of month and summer starting which makes people to spent less time on some sites

Thing is that PubGalaxy is doing normal, so the problem is with Google Ad network.

Traffic have increased, we regained everything we lost. But since 1st of April, Adsense have been pretty awful. It's like a big joke.

Google last month updated link ads with a "Sponsored Links" and similar label right above the link ads, resulting in a massive CTR drop. However, it has been rolled back after more than two weeks of testing :D

I am still seeing "Sponsored..." label on top of link ads. It is still visible on both desktop and mobile, IE, FF, Chrome, Safari. Can anyone confirm about the roll back?

Long weekend in the UK, Monday is a non-working day...

I have also seen the link units with a ´sponsored ads’ title and some with a horrible 1990s bright yellow background, but while I thought they looked ugly neither had a notable effect on ctr

This month, I see a huge increase of "non billable" impressions. I am not sure what this is exactly. May be it's related to what some mentioned, about ads loading only when the user scrolls .

I am once again seeing sponsored links label above the link ads but only on mobile.

Adsense experiments all the time. What you see, is not necessarily what others see. For example, at your site, I see just the Adchoice label over your ad links.

Also, there are plenty of factors which can influence what ads look like. Adsense can find that in one market, such or such labeling is performing better (or is legally required), same for colors.

Now, about ad links, from time to time I click on mine, to see the kind of advertisers showing (this is okay, since the first click is not generating any money/billing), and , since the beginning of the month I see lot of empty list ! I mean, I still have the ad links texts (which are extraordinary well target, I have to confess) , but when I click on them , there is not a single ad in the list. So why is Adsense displaying ad links, if there are no advertisers to show behind ?

Has anyone else seen this?

My revenue plummeted on May 3, and has been down about 20% each day since. I am used to the huge dropoffs we get at quarter starts or starts of months, but starting on May 3 makes this one feel different.

Did something happen on May 3 that requires attention from me? Is this something that will return to normal?

Thanks

@westcoast our rpm drops about %10-20 since May 1st.
Today is not exception

@westcoast, just wondering if you have checked for the ads.txt is in order? In the past couple of months ads.txt is becoming a much more stringent requirement across maretplaces.

may 3rd was indeed softer to me, but the earning jumped back afterward. it was a roughly 10~20% difference.

@Frankleeceo Order in ads.txt really matters? The first line in my Ads.txt is of AdSense though.

@westcoast That's what I have been saying on this forum. May 2 was a great day but I noticed a sharp drop of 80% on May 3, and it's unstable since then.

@westcoast I would look toward the change described by @Darttt. Adsense is now lazy loading ads for some.

Re: "lazy loading".

Is there a way to force ads to not do this?

No, this appears to be a new and very intentional feature roll-out on the part of AdSense.
