January was a mighty rollercoaster for many, surely February won't continue in the same vein?

Does Adsense count an impression even if the visitor is employing an adblocker

The answer would appear to be no, a dozen Firefox PVs were not registered whereas half a dozen Chrome ones were.

That site had only 2 PVs before my test and 8 PVs afterwards, obviously it's not a very well-visited site:-)

Now here's an interesting situation ... those 6 PVs have now been deducted!

Obviously G knows my IP address and takes into account any activity on my sites from my IP ... I'd wondered about that, this has confirmed it.

Google remembers all the IP's that you sign in your adsense with. Any clicks and pv's get removed to never be shown on your report.

I create new sites pretty frequently and I notice that effect during my initial setup stages to make sure all things in working order.

I've seen enough here. So many people posted Google steals publishers money, 70% down in most cases
.
Google is ignorant and will NOT ever address it. Do they think they are God, Jesus?`

This question is for Google. Do you steal from publishers?

If you do NOT steal post here, if you steal you will NOT post and hide under your rock.

You decide. Again if you DO NOT answer my question you are thieves.

Enough of hiding, it's really enough, this is no joke. Show your FACE finally or hide in the jungle. What are you afraid of. Why don't you talk to webmasters?

Stop hiding your face under a rock finally Sergey and Larry, are you scary? What is wrong with you? What do you fear?

I know my post is harsh but it seems a harsh post is needed for you to wake up. People don't fear you. It's time to communicate with webmasters. Again, if you do not answer all people should stop using Adsense, it is not a solution to work with a company which ignores to talk people..

Again Larry and Sergey. This one is for you. Start talking.

Last week I saw an increase in earnings and it looks I will only lose 5% to 10% to February 2015 (lets wait for the final numbers).
My pageviews are up by about 20% and my RPM is down by 27%. With all the 'ghost traffic' we've witnessed recently not a real surprise. This will be the first month in 5 years that will be lower than that in the previous year.

This year's February earnings are 69% of February 2015, with 110% traffic (although the recent fake traffic might skew this a bit), so around 64% of last year's RPM. It doesn't sound extreme but by then last year, it already started dropping. Mobile traffic, adblockers, the rumored Google change for defining valid clicks, advertisers going elsewhere... it's a bit of it all I imagine.

Taking into account that this year is a leap year, February 2016's earnings will be on par with February 2015. I've certainly not seen a decline in my earnings in the last year, in fact it has started to rise slightly.

Google is not "stealing from publishers". You can't be robbed of something you don't own. The Adsense contract is purposely open ended and constructed in Google's favour. We are promised nothing except a percentage of earnings from clicks and impressions. Everything else, including how those clicks are validated, is in G's hands. It's a Faustian contract but that's the way it is.

Hitting highest RPM of the year, perhaps lots of advertisers are hitting the sites with "leap year" specials?

Don't forget that, if a click is discarded and the advertiser doesn't pay, Google loses out, too.

Remember, too, that advertisers are AdSense's customers. It stands to reason that Google is going to try and protect its advertisers against paying for clicks that are fraudulent or accidental. Google is willing to sacrifice short-term revenue (especially undeserved revenue) for a sustainable business over the long term.

On a weekly basis, my RPMs have been remarkably consistent and low in 2016. Last week saw a slight uptick. Let's hope March gets better. My traffic in February was on a record level.

CPC has been poor since Friday. I don't usually mind over the weekend, but even today the trend continues. Targeting is way off as well. Anyone else seeing anything similar?!

Simply diabolical plus a red bar ... the few clicks I have had today so far are not even averaging 15 cents plus zero clicks again so far from the USA and UK ... Norway leads the way, ha!

Nothing has changed all day here. CPC is the pits (an utter collapse). The only good sign is that the traffic hasn't been too bad. Oh well, start of a fresh month tomorrow.

4 PVs and 1 click from Norway almost out-earned the USA yesterday ... what a freakin' shambles!

Yesterday was bad. Less than half of what I earned compared to last year. I attribute some of this to increased competition, but it all goes back to that nasty week in April when Google said we needed to have a mobile site. I created a few and hated the way they looked, so my website remains without a mobile version although it's still very navigable and looks good on a phone. Whatever. I hate mobile sites.

Finished off February with a pretty good day's earnings. So I'm quite happy with February's estimated earnings, hopefully my finalised payment would be much less. Looks like it's going to be a good month for media.net as well. Looking forward to my end of March payment from both.

I'm pretty sure that was mid-May.

Interestingly nearly all my sites are html5 responsive however my biggest sites are still fixed-width and, apart from the side navigation, perfectly readable on phones.

All of the html5 sites have increased traffic since last May. The fixed-width sites initially lost some traffic and one of them has continued to lose traffic ever since however I wonder if that site's degraded performance is more due to being on a .eu than anything else because in the last 3-4 months the other fixed-width sites have actually started to gain traffic!

I'm continuing to monitor this since it seems to go against everything I believe in as well.

I hate mobile sites.

A well-designed site should be just as good on mobile as desktop, mne are.

Well! First Day of March and half way through, still unbelievably low RPM.

I was hoping that this would only last for those first 2 months!

Anybody out there seeing improvements on what they experienced with February?

Total clawback 0.4% and earnings 5% down compared to last year. Not too bad.

March, however, is starting with a very low RPM. I thought we'd seen the end of it.

Nope, it was around April 20 and April 21. I keep written records. I believe that week was the deadline by which sites needed to be mobile. Most of us experienced incredible earnings on that day. Since then earnings have not been the same.
