Will those of us who have seen recent big falls in earnings recover this month or not?

Hahaha ... incredible, the lowest I have ever seen AdSense, EPC so far today 10 cents, and not a single click from Europe or the Americas ... I have to ask what on earth are the ads are my visitors are seeing?

Well there's Labor Day, so that's good. On the bad side, I have a hella bad head cold and it's about 250F in Michigan this week.

I lost a fair whack of my August earnings in finalisation today. Almost seven per cent docked for invalid traffic. Don't think I've ever lost that much before. Not impressed. With all the click-shaving they've been doing I didn't expect to be losing too much.

Great day yesterday. Affiliate earnings have been up sharply in the last few days, too. It may be pre-Labor Day week in the U.S., but the Europeans must be back from their August vacations.

For once in recent months, I didn't. 0nly 86 cents [I dunno]
Hopefully, I'll now re-enter the better earning period for the next 5-6 months. It's always been a cyclic thingy.

I recovered last month. My traffic was actually down slightly last month due to a mysterious google change. Despite that I hit a new record for earnings with earnings more than 30% higher vs my next highest month. This month is a week start though. Interestingly I've noticed a lot of really expensive clicks coming from South Africa (dozens of clicks at $1-$3 per click)? Wasn't aware that people were spending that kind of money over there...

On the first day of September I reaped a new record low for traffic and CTR. Recovery is just a dream.

1.1% deducted for me, not only my lowest deduction but also my lwest earnings, there wasn't much for them to take!
The first haf of Tuesday was a disaster for me, the second half of the day brought me up to a pre-July/August day. The real downer was my smartphone EPC at 50%, but for that it would have been my best day in a couple of months.
Ad inventory must be low since my metrics v G's for one specific site are thousands of PVs apart and it wasn't a bot etc, it was a US trade customer downloading images.

2% Deducted for me which is higher than normal. I suspect it's due to invalid clicks mainly on mobile as some ads were a little too close to content so adjustments have been made to prevent that.

Our AdSense earnings have been up nicely in the last few days. Affiliate earnings have been up, too. But that has less to do with AdSense than it does with normal seasonal patterns. (Our best months are May through July, with a slight dip in August--when a lot of people are on vacation--and another rise in early September.)
I don't worry about daily, weekly, or even monthly ups and downs. Long-term averages are what count.

I don't need to even look. Yesterday was easily the sh!ttiest day I've had in YEARS. No server outtage. So low it's comical to be honest.

Had 0.86% shaved off for August. Higher than usual. So not only are the earnings sucking more but the shaving seems to be worst.

Yet another dire US day, PVs exactly average, and I mean exactly, yet CTR at 25%, no need to say what my rpm and earnings were.

My CTR is dramatically dropped, nothing changes on site. This situation has been taken from first week of August and still having low CTR. Not sure what happen and how i can return CTR on previous stage ?

Are you seeing a reporting delay today (sep 4.)? Very few pageviews being reported in Adsense.

Still the same here, CTR dropped first week of August on all my sites in EU. The first days of September no improvement!
RedBar

Far from improving, in fact it's getting worse with CTRs from the USA nearly non-existent and from the UK totally non-existent.
What is also disconcerting is that AdSense PVs do not correlate to my PVs by a huge factor, about 50%, which usually suggests a dearth of relevant ad inventory ... woe is me...the end is nigh!

~1% invalid traffic for August, twice what it was for July but still within reasonable bounds. September is off to a good start, 25% increase compared to same day last month (but August started out with two weekend days, so I'll have to hold my horses).

On one of our sites we had CTR fall 70% from Aug 31 to Sept 1. CTR was remarkably consistent before that and since the fall it has been very consistent at the much lower number. However, the other sites I manage running in a different Adsense account saw no such decline.

What's been your percentage of invalid clicks lately? (See your Payment history) Perhaps the "two-click" measure [webmasterworld.com] applies to you.

You may have had a popular advertiser drop out. They can disappear and cause a drop in CTR.

I've literally stopped checking my daily reports. This is coming from somebody who has been addicted to checking throughout every day. I'm really at a point, at least with 90% of my sites, I can't bring myself to check. Perhaps my feelings will change, not sure. It's pains me to look whereas most other time prior, it was always done with excitement. From excitement to fear. That's no fun. Those reports for me at this point, are not something where I'm expecting any turn around. I won't invest time in those organic, Google ranking dependent websites. Nobody wants to watch a crash and burn and neither do I. I can still post from my one horse in the race, but that's about it. When one site outperforms many? It's not endorsing the one, but it's an illustration of how bad those others are doing.

Uh-oh. Our AdSense revenue yesterday was down 11 cents from the same day last week. Let's hope it isn't the beginning of a trend. :-)
