For me, CTR is ok during the earlier part of the day. Australian traffic, UK to a certain extent, and US traffic in the morning all look normal. But after late noon until the end of the day, the clicks just slow down a lot, and often completely stop.

It's like a moratorium has been placed on my account. This has not been the case for as long as I've used Adsense. In the past, the clicks always come through during the whole day. There is no "drying up" phenomenon.

So much so, that even though I might have a good start to the day, but I kind of know how it turns out later, and I've learned not get my hopes up. The pattern has changed, showing a marked turn from late April. The question is, is this natural or due to Google interfering?

First three days of June were lower than normal for me, but today is already WAY over normal and it's just 8:30am; I'm still thinking some clicks take longer to validate than others. I did get some more direct advertisers from my mailing, and I'm pretty happy with Vertoz (over media.net) so... it's all good so far.

Situation here is very stable since beginning of June, first 3 days of June over first 3 days of May are up by 70% and over first 3 days of April up by 65%. Today started not so good in the morning, but gradually picking up and when US is fully online (for my starts at 3pm UK time) then it is going up.

@netmeg, I agree to "some clicks take longer to validate than others" as I have noticed the same here. Also, I remember you said that you have yet not been paid, have Vertoz paid you? So can we trust them?

@ebuzz, I have also been seeing "drying up" phenomena. Unfortunately, most of my days start off very poorly, too. Today is a little better, but "better" today is still far, far below "normal" performance from just a couple of months ago.

Yesterday is a little up from the same day last week; 7-day performance slightly down from the 7 days before; 28-day performance still down by more than 33%. Hopefully this is the bottom (it really doesn't have much farther down to go--the month is actually on track for an all-time worst, and I have been posting ads since 2005).

Last couple days were a horror movie. Today out of the gates is strong, so I should be doing decent today. Affiliate programs are working out for me right now so these lousy adsense days are less of an issue thankfully.

Recently made about 1/2 of my pages responsive and added responsive ad units. Here is what I am seeing in the last 4-5 days. Almost all the impressions are text ads. Where are all the image, animated image, rich media impressions? There are some, but the % is MUCH smaller than on traditional ads. So, I have to believe that there is much less inventory of "non-text" responsive ads resulting in much lower cpc prices and subsequent earnings. I've not seen better CTR on responsive pages and with responsive ads to "make up for" the low responsive ad cpc prices. So until responsive ads are paying significantly more (which may never happen), as a publisher it may in fact make more sense financially from AdSense not to run responsive ads. But as I've said before, I believe it's only a matter of time before Google starts making advertisers take a significantly higher share of mobile ads so when that happens the revenue optimization of responsive ads should improve.

They're net 45, and I haven't hit the 45 days yet. I'd have to look, but it's probably in the next week or so.

As usual, Netmeg has, I think, zeroed in on a major issue: click latency. I'm also of the opinion that some clicks take longer (maybe MUCH longer) to be verified as legitimate now than just a year ago.

@Ebuzz It's like a moratorium has been placed on my account. . .

This has been my experience for many months now. The day starts out well in the morning, then it just gradually dries up, then picks up a little in the late afternoon.

Yesterday I had the lowest CTR in three years, bar two days when my sites were down for maintenance. CTR was 55% of my lifetime average and 40% of the CTR in the first quarter of 2015. Stats show a steady and continual slide in CTR from about mid February. I'm not one to worry about short term blips but the trend is not looking great.

41,000 pages, almost noon, and I've amassed very low one-digit earnings so far today with AdSense.

I'm just wondering how bad things can get. I'm thinking to myself, is there going to be a time very soon where I'm getting 3500 hits a day, but absolutely no earnings whatsoever? £1.10 p so far today, that is completely and utterly tragic.

I've given up trying to satisfy Google. My site is fully responsive, and it passes the Google HTML5 test. I figured out today that, with the excessive amount of time I spend on the site trying to make Google "love" me, I make a whole $2.09 per hour. It's time to boot AdSense to the curb. From here on out, I don't care Google what likes and what they don't like. I will no longer cater to them.

-70% is now my new normal. Really depressing. But I've come to accept it now that I have failed in my business. I no longer have the desire to do the job I love because I'm so overworked yet so underpaid.

Just wondering, did anyone participate in the recent Adsense survey?

Let it fly. Don't hold back. ;)

Too bad there isnt a forum for adsense publishers who wish to no longer run adsense and want to ditch their site. Could make a few bucks from someone who might want to take over.

I predicted a few months ago that I thought May/June time would be when my AdSense earnings' collapse would prompt the removal of their code, if it continues for the next few days like Friday's then by the middle of next week it will be gone.

Yesterday's clicks were down, not massively, however my EPC was 54.5%, that's ridiculous and pointless on my sites.

Do you know what? I'm not even blaming Google in toto, I feel that ad blindness is so prevalent now that ad blockers are not even required. I say this simply because I know I subconsciously ignore ads, and especially on those newspaper sites, and this most probably contimues through to the specialist sites with few, but very well placed ads, thus causing me to ignore them all.

The ride would seem to be well and truly over for me ... I wonder if I could get a certificate from somewhere saying AdSense hero to Adsense zero, $10,000 per month to $100 ?!?!?

The latest one, I think they launched the survey about 3 days ago. If you think Adsense sucks, just tell them so :)

Not had it! They've most likely given up with me complaining, for instance today's US EPC has fallen off the cliff for me at 42.8% ... for me the entire programme seems to be falling apart this week, it's gotten that bad I'm simply not interested in it any more.

Why? For every realworld product I sell I make 10x my monthly AdSense, enough said.

I'm not sure complaining will do any good. If Adsense is deliberately paying you less, they won't do anything to fix it. If Adsense is paying you less because they are making less, they probably can't fix it. I suspect the downturn is more about (a) a decline in advertising/marketing budgets (b) more aggressive click fraud measures (c) growing ad blocking and/or ad blindness.

I know that my downturn is my not showing up in Google Search, and since they have a monopoly on the search market....guess what?

As far as I know, Adsense and Search are separate departments. It's possible that the Search team, based on their feedback and research (for example the fact that millions of users and counting install an ad block software not to see ads at all) has concluded that ads are not a good user experience and they de-rank sites that publish them.
