Yes, ridiculous drop again today. Now at 25% of ctr & rpm.

Some crazy lows with Monday being my lowest EPC since August 1st and then Tuesday jumped 175% helped by a mobile EPC 200% of 2014 average.

How the heck G justifies these click values is beyond me, I really do not believe there is an "algo", I feel its totally arbitrary judging by how much the click values vary from one country to another.

Can anyone explain, what is causing this huge drop? I am down by 60 percent too.

My ctr and rpm returned to 50% for today so far, just fyi.

Erku, I'm new here, but my theory is that they are using goal conversion data from analytics to show more ads that result in better conversion rates for advertisers, and those ads happen to be spammy and result in lower ctr's for us. I believe that cpc's for us may eventually rise.
Others are looking at the possibility that ad spending has dropped, or that a new algorithm has screwed with ad targeting, or there is a glitch.

May have something to do with the stock market tanking as well.

Is the US economy doing bad?

The US economy has been doing badly for the last 7 years, although "they" keep telling us that it is improving. The stock market has been on a roller coaster this month and dropped 450+ points today before somewhat recovering.

The downward spiral started in March for me. It never recovered. It just keeps getting worse. I'm now desperately accepting other adsense alternatives left and right just to compensate the lost revenue. It sucks.

I'm assuming stats are stuck since the USA has hardly registered any PVs for me let alone earnings?

My pageviews register OK but earnings are still terrible. Last month was the best month ever, but since about October 3 it started to drop and after 8th it became almost unbelievable. I have more traffic than ever yet earn very little this month. I first thought I was smartpriced but then found this thread.

Page views stable, trend of 1 good day then 1 bad continues for like the 3rd straight month. Makes no sense that consistently I am seeing 1 good day 1 bad day. My traffic source (all organic) is as consistent as a Swiss watch and the advertisers don't seem to be changing that much.

I recall something similar happened a year or two ago and they admitted there was an issue in their system. There was a thread on it in their forum in which I participated but now I can see it was removed, so I can't tell the date. The bug was eventually fixed and earnings returned to normal.

Right now it's tempting to remove Adsense altogether, but I don't have any good replacement. I have a Media.net account too, but Media.net at its best is so much worse than Adsense at its worse for me.

Do you guys think that advertisers are staying away from internet to promote their products and services?

I'd say that 75% of ads are now off topic. Not evenly remotely related to content. I block them, but more off topic ads replace them, so blocking is kind of pointless. I'm also seeing ads in all kinds of languages, from Russian to Korean.

Some is terribly wrong with my earnings the past couple few days. I'm numb from most of this, but right now is nonsensical.

Just out of curiosity, how many impressions are you guys serving on a daily basis?

Not in any of the niches I work with. But as I mentioned before, my ecommerce clients are going more towards Google Shopping than Display (but my clients are also mostly B2B)

Thousands. Interestingly enough, I'm having alternating days of ups and downs. It's almost like i'm getting click dumps every other day. RPM is #*$! though. It's under $2. Media.net just contacted me (I pulled their ads to try and fix my adsense earnings) claiming they can give me better ads. Going to give that a go.

Media.net has actually been improving, and I've put them in replace of some Adsense ads.

@jbayabas

I can guarantee that everyone here looks at their statistics with a completely different analysis since we are all looking at it from a different situation.

What I do know is that my global industry, of which I am a major branded player, just can't be a$$ed with Google since it prefers some bizarre, totally irrelevant sites, or pinterest/houzz/crapsites etc.

My industry enquiries, in toto, for retail stuff which I specifically state I do not do but people still email about, has died however for project work I still get great enquiries, this week alone in excess of USD 10 mill. however that is to be expected since specifiers are searching globally for the best suppliers/pricing whereas smaller projects/retail purchasers are now tending to look closer to home since the last few years they have learnt that, for my widgets, they are not bulk purchasers.

We all should know that every "widget trade" is different, the most difficutlt of which is the FMCG sector, of which I have absolutely NO experience of, my supplies are from minimum 3 months up to several years!

My AdSense earnings for the last few months have stabilised at about 2% of their hay days, yes, 98% drop, welcome to my world!

I don't really look at stats, I just look at how much I am earning on a daily basis, that's the most important thing isn't it? Things started picking up in August. September was an improvement on August, looks like October will a further improvement in earnings, let's hope this trend continues.

Okay Adsense, you are gone from my best site. I put Media.net instead. I don't know what the future will bring but I can't just sit and do nothing anymore.

Diabolical Friday, something's going on since I had sites for the first time ever not getting clicks plus PVs were way down on average.

Today is even worse, PVs and clicks have fallen off the edge, time to check rankings etc, I have a feeling that a black and white disaster is on the prowl.

Looking better here. I gave up blocking ads since it was just a game of whack a mole. I checked my sites on several off site machines and found one ad taking over a third of my real estate. I blocked it a few days ago, and it seems to be helping.

Disaster Saturday, annihilation seems to be the only description for my sites, if this sticks then I may as well shut down my server!
