What will the Autumn/Fall bring us all?

Not only is it absolutely dire, of the very few clicks I have had, I've had one removed.

Something's gone completely wrong, earlier on today the ONLY two clicks of the day I had were from Russia and Siberia, great, what the hell is the point of a 7 cent click?

Seeing thumbnail photos on almost every text ad now. Adding a lot of color to my site. MY CTR is up today, so maybe that's why.

OMG what is going on with adsense today. These swings can not be associated with advertisers pulling budget in and out. Almost certain that it has to do with some algorithmic crap.

October is off to a good start here, CTR going slightly down but traffic is making up for the loss.

I'm usually never in the complaint department, but October has been horrible so far. This morning was off to a good start, but impressions just doubled with no clicks.

I was wrong, the day (yesterday) finished no better than the previous two. And today is not much different. Thankfully traffic is strong, but why the decline in RPM?

My RPM dropped over 90% from one day to another, then increased up to 90% again.. Adsense is going nuts lol

AdSense has been as inconsistent as I've ever seen it lately. Couple of terrible days, then a great day, then 2 more bad days. It's a mess - never used to be like this. My traffic is consistent so really the main factor causing these wild up's and down's is AdSense tinkering. Or reporting issues - probably both.

Mine's pretty consistent, but it's a low traffic time of year for me. Running about 40% above last October so far though, which is unexpected (at least for these particular sites).

Adsense is running out of $$$ ? I see record low income today + I suspect another Algo update since Friday night...

I doubt AdSense (AdWords) is running out of money.

However, I will say this - most of my ecommerce clients are devoting more of their ad spend to Google Shopping ads, because they convert like crazy. I wouldn't be too surprised if other advertisers are doing some of the same.

Don't get me wrong; I don't think advertisers are abandoning the Display Network by a longshot. But no denying that Google PLA/Shopping ads have seen ginormous growth over the past year or two, and at least some of that may have replaced Display Network spend (as opposed to augmented it)

I'm in the UK and for the last few hours all I am seeing are midly-applicable USA ads ... WTH have they done now?

On my sites that are mainly Canada and US focused, I'm starting to see a high percentage of UK visits but not 1 click from them this month. From what I can tell, they're seeing ads for senior care services... on a site that deals with business and finance?

I'm in Vancouver CA and they've been serving me ads in french when I check my site.
Like, we're all bilingual here and eat a lot of maple syrup while snowshoeing around our igloos ;)

They definitely screwed something up on the 1st of Oct though. Ads that should be showing only on my generic crap sites are all over my top niche site now.

September was great for me, but in the first stretch of October earnings dropped significantly. Overall traffic is 20% down, but US traffic is up strangely enough. Also, I saw ads for dating agencies on my website for children. I blocked this type of ad of course. I am getting complaints from some of my visitors. I don't worry about the fluctuations, as adsense has always been a game of up and down, I am just curious what's going on. The other day, I had Turkish language ads on my site with a low CTR (duhhh).

My RPM has tanked. Even some euro countries are giving me pennies. Since when is Denmark on the same scale as Pakistan?

I've also seen that recently conversely in the past couple of days some USD 1.00 clicks out of Germany and Norway.

Yesterday my desktop and smartphones EPCs were the same yet tablet EPCs were 178%!

No red bar so far today but get this message

Our Real Time reports will be undergoing some maintenance this coming weekend of the 11th of October, that may cause brief disruptions in reporting. Real Time reports you know and love should be back to normal come Monday. Thanks in advance for your patience.

Hey look guys, adsense is working again! ;)

Best day in 3 months here. My clicks are up more than 300% for the same amount of traffic as last week.

eek2121 good for you! I had a great day last Thursday after a horrible stretch and then the very next day things went back to bad. Yesterday was decent/normal.

A bit off-topic now after my discovery?

I'm in the UK and for the last few hours all I am seeing are midly-applicable USA ads ... WTH have they done now?

Wow, further to my earlier post I have discovered something I've never seen before.

I accidentally smashed my mobile phone Saturday night and spent some of Sunday transferring all sorts of stuff to a new phone, a Lumia 925 it so happens. It was whilst using this I was checking a couple of sites and found the US ads.

After setting-up the phone some more tonight, UK time, I checked my Statcounter and there I was, on my Lumia ... with a US Microsoft IP!

I have my location on and I'm in the MS feedback programme, the SIM card is the original one.

Any ideas anyone?

Your earnings on October 3 were 59% below our forecast. We've detected this earnings drop by comparing the money you earned on October 3 to a forecast for your account. We encourage you to investigate further to identify any potential issues with your site or traffic.

What a load of sh**...

RedBar, some bowsers are using proxy in order to optimize mobile traffic.

See your mobile browser settings.

If it's Internet Explorer:

Go to settings > Swipe to applications > Internet Explorer > Advanced settings > tick "Reduce data use by sending URLS to the Data Sense Service".

On topic: Monday = another #*$!*y day as eCPM :(

Red bar. Again. :-|

We're sorry, some data in this report is delayed, please try again later. There's no impact to ad serving or payments.

Is your telco using Microsoft Cloud services to route web traffic?
