January 2012 AdSense Earnings & Observations

I had a good run in 2011 - managed to add one more figure to my monthly AdSense earnings.

January historically is not a bad month for me. What are your hopes and plans for January and the new year?

My earnings suddenly returned yesterday (10th Jan) to December levels and today has started very well. Big relief. One thing I've been seeing for a while though is that G keeps taking money away, I assume for what it regards as invalid clicks.

It has been a very good start today and when I checked about 45 minutes ago another big click had come in. I was very pleased. When I just checked again, the earnings from that click had disappeared. My report shows 1 click for the page it was on with 0.00 earnings.

This has been a problem for a while and it's a little disappointing. It's definitely not me clicking on my own ads and I don't know how Google determines invalid clicks.

It is better to check monthly average earning is better to calculate the Adsense Earning.Another thing is that if you use Adwords along with Adsense complying Adssense loading page policy then it may be increase in over night but it will be less than you use in Adwords.

Must be a UK thing because my stats are in a worse than dire state as well.

It appears that they are accounting for impressions but not clicks aside from some, but not all, from the US. My stats are showing clicks from elsewhere but they are not being registered and it has been that way all day.

Remains to be seen if that changes overnight - I have my doubts though.

The 11th was an awful day for me too - today isn't looking any better so far. There's been a marked decline in RPM over the past couple of months.

Highest click day of the month at 138.9% with the second-lowest earnings, after Jan 1st, at 67.3% and an EPC of 45.5% for the USA! My US EPC rarely fluctuates more than 82-118% from its average.

I had 33 clicks in search for a USD 0.03 total and today I've not made USD 1.00 as yet, something's totally and utterly wrong.

very low CPC last few days....so therefore lower earnings.

my traffic and CTR %'s are average or slightly higher than normal...so that is working for me. folks are reading and clicking.

if only CPC improves....we be jammin'.

The thing is completely borked!

So far I have had one click from the UK for GBP 0.01 = USD 0.015, my CTR is at it's lowest level ever at 0.35% and my earnings are only 30% of the way to New Year's Day.

Completely fubard beyond all recognition, it's just about time to start removing units.

Yeah, this is getting retarded. ecpm is -300% since Sunday across 50+ websites. Whatever they're doing with the ads isn't working. Or maybe this is their goal. Thanks Google engineers! You guys are awesome!

A lot of this, at least in my case, seems to be that have stopped crediting a lot of the clicks. I am seeing clicks in my own stats but they are not appearing in my adsense stats, not even 24 hours later.

Somebody has either messed something up big time or we are all being conned out of click revenue. Impressions are being counted as normal but certainly not clicks.

We're still doing okay with Adsense, but I have been researching other ways to earn a living online (and am pursuing two) because I'm not sure how much longer Adsense is going to be the gravy train it has been.

Hmmm...earnings just went up by USD 0.15 but nothing else moved and my UK earnings have doubled to GBP 0.02 with nothing else moving...tis about time there was an investigation into Google's programme and antics.

Very strange: not a click registered for over three hours, then a burst to catch the metrics up to normal. Why does this happen?
