AdSense: Ad Review Center has gone mad!

Influx of unrelated advertisers targeting my website

I decided to post this now that it's been four days and nothing has changed. When I check my ad reveiew center for targeted ads, I'm getting 12 or more new advertisers UNRELATED to my website (teeth whitening, spa treatments, etc.), each day. I'm spending a lot of time checking and blocking these ads from showing. Is anyone else seeing this since Nov. 1, or is it my issue?

I only have two channels for targeted ads, and there's not too many in my list. Those ads are also in line with my site topic.

FWIW, when this came up a few days ago, I changed my settings to not allow any ads from all these 3rd party networks.

I haven't noticed any changes to the ads I typically see on my sites and I haven't noticed any changes in my revenue/numbers.

It's easy to go with what AdSense tells us and assume that having more advertisers bidding will result in more money for us - but that's only true if one or more of these new advertisers are willing to bid more than the advertisers who were there first.

Yup, me too.

Ads that are 3 - 4 years out of date.

A problem for me is that some of these ads are from companies that are also running current ad campaigns that show on my site, and that I want to run.

That leaves me with the choice of doing nothing or spending the time to go thru the list and mark those campaigns as "block this campaign only > other > and then input "ads out of date" as a reason.

I dunno if that helps or not.

Let's say the ad is for www.domain.com
how do i know if the ad is new or old, since the domain is there anyway...

I got a request yesterday for an ad for Halloween cookies! There is definitely something wrong.

Sometimes you do know because of the text like " sale 2008".

The problem is back for me also. I had about three or four days where everything was fine.
