does anybody see their adsense earnings appear to be reporting slow today? the impressions are pretty much where they should be for this time of day, but the earnings seem too low. anybody else seeing this?

Easily the worst EPC I've had since last year, the hamsters went home last weekend and couldn't care a fig, long live the turkey:-)

I've now written off the next few days as DeAdSense!

As great as last week was, this week is a disaster. I'm not worried because I too believe this is just a holiday blip.

The same to me. After a good last week with some of the best days in this month, Monday start the decline. 50% down during this week. Let's wait.

Just looking a a few pages and it seems that targeting is borked. Was checking mobile phone plans and handsets (Ireland) and the bozosense that runs its interest based advertising was showing me US mobile phone adverts.

One site (95% Irish audience) was showing minimal stats and earnings. The main one, which has a global though mainly US audience was showing normal stats and reasonable earnings.

I did one search for a company last week and since then, most of the Adsense ads I see are ads from this company. I don't know if interest ads have been adjusted to the max or something. But this is a sorry week indeed.

:-) That was priceless!

Hey, I hate to be the bad guy here but things today are going NOT according to plan. There is one hamster left doing overtime it appears. :) Things are starting to pick up... Great CTR and eCPM so far.

I've had bad CTR but good eCPM today. Makes a slight difference from the bad CTR and bad eCPM I've had the past week lol!

I've just gone past my lowest earning day of the year, Sunday January 3rd, next target Sunday 4th April but it's the EPC that's causing it all, surprisingly my traffic is more or less normal.
2:49 am on Nov 25, 2010 (gmt 0)

Still crap, still normal traffic insofar as I am concerned ... yay Google, screw me over with DeadSense!

And when the numbers finally came in I had my 5th worst earnings' day of the year at 56% of my daily average...ouch!

Talking of earnings plummeting, I seem to have been swamped with addynamo and groupon ads. Anyone got sound advice on them? Does blocking them make way for more appropriate ads that are likely to appeal to visitors?

By heck, Thursday was marginally better than Wednesday at 60% of daily average:-)

Someone start printing money now, Xmas is only 4 weekends away!

Yup we are oddly still down this week every day since Sunday.

I was convinced it was related to the 728x90 ads. Not so sure that is the case anymore.

Any ideas? We did not see this similar drop last year at this time, so I'm doubtful to say it is holiday related.

Something on G's side was tweaked?

Seems to have frozen this morning. Earnings seem to be coming back to normal though.

I've just checked back to 2004 and not one Thanksgiving year has had such a few days' drop as this year's, in fact my figures show a solid performance both immediately before and after the holiday, something was definitely tweaked and seeemingly for quite a few people.

I see the same drastic drop on my Dutch website, and this has nothing to do with Thanksgiving. Google tweaked something or decided to keep a bigger share of the income.

That is just what I was going to say. It appears to be affecting a number of sites from different countries all at the same time.

I was hoping it was related to the holiday week, but I'm starting to think it is not going to recover from whatever changed.

Hope they fix it soon otherwise I'll be having porridge for Christmas dinner.

Thursday I got 45% of my normal daily income. Last year the drop wasn't noticable on Thanksgiving...

Just logged into my Adsense account and nearly cr@pped myself !

Whats going on ?

Yesterday, earnings were very delayed in adding up but 12pm today I looked back and it was only down 7 on previous week.

Today though is crazy. I am 70% below last week. I really hope things play catch up later.

I think thanksgiving cannot cause this much earning drops.
and google should add direct contact form or similar things at adsense account.

Ah, Thanksgiving was not as horrible as I thought it was going to be; only 1/3 below the daily average. Wasn't expecting much yesterday really. Today everything is going according to plan. By 12:30 pm I had already broken the daily earnings record. So today has been the best day ever! Same traffic, more targeted ads (high CTR) and high eCPM. I knew Black Friday wouldn't let me down. :-) I'm not expecting much until next Monday when the advertisers get back to work, but who knows what will happen.
9:30 pm on Nov 26, 2010 (gmt 0)

So today has been the best day ever!

Hmmm...obviously all my visitors are non-clicking lemmings and even those that do are driving my EPC even further down! I may as well not bother looking now until December since this getting beyond a joke.

Having a good day here but, like m0thman, I worry about those Groupon image ads. Not sure if this is the place to ask (or even if I SHOULD ask) but is seeing so many ads from one advertiser a good thing? Have to assume they outbid others to get placed but what about visitor fatigue? Is blocking them akin to shooting myself in the foot? Thanks for any comments/advice on this issue.

Well said husky, this is really looking beyond a joke now.
Thanksgiving is not at all related to our audience in india so there has to be some tweaking going on at google's part or time to look back at our site and from different angle.
At our end we decided to leave the things as it is and concentrate on getting direct advertisers and some subscription services to our site users. Though it is a bit difficult path we had to take it.
Also I am sure concentrating on our own site and its marketing, will give us more mileage in future.

And we wont waste our time thinking and worrying about whats wrong with google [m]adsense :)

My 2 cents.

Thanks
Rajiv
