It's way cool :)

[google.com...]

Not sure if this should be in Google News or adwords. I guess this forum should really be the one for AdSense questions as it's about advertising.

Also, it seems that the site hangs in IE. Mozilla ( as usual ) works perfectly so use that.

Unlike the exising content targed ads you do not need 20 million visitors to put these ads on your site.

>> Wonder if this service is open to web directories?

A web directory isn't a search engine. Just make sure that when someone searches the directory you hide the ads.

Eaden,

That was what I was wondering, if you drill down to a category in a directory rather than search does this count as a results page - who know as far as Google are concerned.

Only way to find out is to apply and see what happens :)

Wow - this is going to make Google loved by many webmasters of popular hobby sites.

Also will we see reverse content building to attract expensive ads? ;)

I think this is advertisers' worst fears come true.

As an advertiser, I trust Google, AOL and the ilk - but definitely not 1000s of mom and pop sites. Isn't this the reason for the non-popularity of CPC programs with merchants at various affiliate networks?

Thankfully, AdWords advertisers can disable Content Network syndication.

It's a great source of extra $$ for hobby webmasters who don't want to chase down advertisers, and the ads will be really relevant because it's drawing from such a large pool of advertisers.

So all the people who were asking about how to run content-targeted ads and who didn't have a huge site: Now's your chance! Give it a try. :)

If your site is not yet in our index, it may take a few hours or more before we are able to crawl your site and serve the most relevant AdWords ads. In this case, we will display public service ads, for which you will not receive earnings, until we are able to crawl your pages

Is this also a quick way into the index? :)

It's not a quicker way into the index, vitaplease. It's a separate crawl. :)
