For my top target term there are still some differences between the Caffein sandbox and .com results. It does not affect me and looking at them dispassionately the Caffein results (subjectively) serve the user better. More of my significant real world competitors appear and less of the buy their way to the top jokers.
Cheers
Sid

"Soon" means there is no datacenter with Caffeine now.
As soon as we get the first hint of Caffeine, they should say so.
Indeed, if I were a betting man, I'd suggest that message should have been posted almost exactly 1 month ago, around 10/10/09

Dammit -5 RPs. However, now REALLY interested as to what underlies the recent SuperMegaFast indexing/ranking phenomenon. Matt?
cangoou, in a little while, you'll have Caffeine to try out at a full data center. I don't expect the results to change much from the developer preview to the data center, nor from the data center to the full roll out.
barretire, some people might be stressed by waiting, but I think more people were stressed about the idea of Caffeine rolling out during the holidays.
At any rate, I'll be talking at PubCon on Thursday, so I can discuss Caffeine and can answer questions for folks that are still stressed. :)

:) I lost the sidebets but think i won my full bets!
"Don't Panic!" from the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy in my post
Can Goog give any comments on the imminent Disclosure announcements? ;) Err..nevermind.
I did a quick blog post, but the upshot is that we'll roll out at one data center pretty soon. I don't expect us to roll out at multiple data centers until January (after the holidays). We could have rolled out sooner, but we figured that waiting until after the holidays would help reduce stress for webmasters.
Wow MC's on the forum! Big fan over here Matt :) Thanks for the update BTW and can't wait to see caffeine roll out. Good to know it's rolling out before 2010 and this will reduce the stress for most webmasters. Can you confirm we have been seeing some implementation of caffeine in the regular search results over the past months?
Thanks...
I guess what I am reffering to is that the caffeine results seemed to ve very stable compared to the main results I have been seeing as of lateley which have appeared to be buncing all over the place more then usual. I like the table thing.. Maybe you can shed some light on why there has been such variation lately.
Is that a jab at the new haircut MC's sportin'? ; )
It was a recent off-line convo about if we'd see MC on these boards again.
We did.
I lost. :(
but we ALL win. =P
it may have been rigged, but that's ok

think we're going to need a MC to whitenight to shaddows to forum codex/translator when "Senna" gives her rebuttal to the State of the Union address. So be ready, shaddows.
He still hopes they can work it out, however. But if they do, it might not be all the time, just most of the time.
He also clarified that Caffeine will offer Google more ease of "folding their data together".
Matt just made some more comments about Caffeine at the Search Engine Smackdown session. He's been championing the idea of one data center for webmasters to check
Do you think they will release a data center within the next few days for use to check? Or are we going to have to wait until the holidays..
