show pr prior to the last update - so thats a rollback of pr of at least 4 months +.
216.239.53.99
216.239.53.104
66.102.11.99
66.102.11.104
all show new PR but of those:
66.102.11.99
66.102.11.104 - show PR on a domain I first got spidered on 30th Jan - the other 2 show 0 for the same domain.
i have it this way... i think it keeps switching for a time.. but its since yesterday that pagerank shows up..
i have it at more sites.. this way.
?
PR is updated on 64.233.167.104 and others. Not sure what is unclear about that. It should now spread to the other datacenters as it always has, but regardless PR has been updated, so perhaps this thread can be closed and we can move on.
I have a brand new site so I'm not seeing roll back data. So far all the same new PR 5 for 4 datacenters.
Still not ranking for my targetted terms - I was, in yahoo + MSN, one week after promotion - although all my articles on referral websites are appearing on page 1s - so I hope it's just a matter of time before I move into top position.
Google still supplying +60% of my organic traffic. But the rest is made up mostly of referrals from on topic sites , blogs and forums. Yahoo and MSN are a joke but according to Analytics users of these engines spend a lot more time looking at my site...wonder why that is?
Are they slower readers?:)
I also see a change in rank in the Google directory for some of the older sites I manage.
I am pretty sure it will end up around 57 or 58 as shown on a couple of other of the DC's which are showing the Big Daddy results.
Of course, if you are right, I will be the first one to tip my hat to you and then go out for a nice lobster dinner! :)
- 4 months old site with about 50 backlinks (a few PR4 and PR3, all relevant natural or suppliers/partners)>>> Now PR0 on the homepage
- 2 months old site with about 10 backlinks, mostly built up asrtificially >>> Now PR2
- 18 months old site, with 100's of backlinks including a quite a few PR5/6, all unique content and unique concept, all natural popularity >>> was PR4 Now STILL PR4
Hey come on! :) Should I promise mister Googleguy that I will stop the critics so they start updating PR for my company's sites? (company I dont even own, I'd love to though)
I have records on 60 sites.
Date ranges of the sampling starts at late November and ends in early February.
These are not new domains names, but existing ones that have all had a common alteration which could change the status of the toolbar number
Google seems to update toolbar data by the date the alteration was realized, rather than by the date it was performed.
Each site's alteration was realized within 1 to 7 days.
I looked at their source code and couldn't make head or tails of it. Its truly a mess!
If that is the so called PR update, then Google has some major problems. I submitted a spam report to the attention of Matt Cutts.
If it matters, the domain was bought about 3 months ago, site was launched 2 months ago (and at that time several lower PR relevant links added) and 2 weeks ago our PR7 link was added.
Toolbar pr is updated last in the hierarchy of updates at Google and is really just a snapshot of what is already going on under the surface.
The SERP's may change due to amalgamation of BD, but toolbar will not affect your SERP's one bit.
Yes, CainIV - I think it looks like it was applied to the serps around Feb 4th and other indicators tend to point to the date of when PR was calculated - eg PR on a Page late Jan but not after Feb 4th.

Does make a good point - it is an update on a death row Datacenter and does not look like it uses the new infastructure - waiting for a BD PR update/application.
EG, Split PR between the non-www and www and different BL counts.
Roll on Big Daddy
Its still too soon to tell where the ball will stop bouncing, but as MC said in his blog, its likely be a couple of weeks away still.
