has anyone noticed when on Big Daddy DC you do a site: command on your site it brings back a number.

Ok now refresh countless times and you will notice it flips to another number.

My site is currently switching between 850 pages and 420,000!

Any ideas anyone?

In the last year or more, Fresh tags have a habit of disappearing for a few hours every few days, and for a few days once per month...

Any new observations on BD?

I am very much confused about the results on different google domains.

The same IP 64.233.179.104 is appearing at google.com and .ca But there is large variation in positions. Can anyone comment on this please?

So what's with all the spam, redirects, keyword spamming, automatic download installers and grey bared 1 page sites floating at the top of serps in Google?.

I see this sometimes on the first page of results but mostly every oher site from 20 - 100 and beyond is blackhat for many searches.

I'm showing around 1,040 pages on non-BD centers right now (nothing showing as supplemental - the site has 1,080 pages). I took a big dip overnight on BD - now down to around 375 from around 450. Of the 375, roughly 110 are supplement (these pages have not existed for close to a year).

I think the loss of pages is a good sign, I'd been stuck at 450 for about 10 days or so. Google keeps spidering away at the site (Mozilla Googlbot and Googlebot 2.1).

I can see google feeds to the likes of aol.co.uk being pure big daddy now.

block google cookies and refresh the SERPs page, keep an eye on the number of results returned and the SERP.

BillyS..... my site has 1,080 pages.
Guess what - aol is showing 1,080 pages for the site:mydomain search. Hoooray! (G still showing 14,000)

5,000,000 pages returned for my keyword (G still showing 44,000,000)

Hope this is indicative of BD spreading at last

Nope - don't see any changes on that DC.

yeah...thing is...I watch a few of my sites daily, and I know what they are. They have changed for me. That's why I'm kinda suprised nobody else is seeing it

aol.uk and aol.de showing BD serps

I can see some movement concerning my site. For a very competitive two keyword phrase my site went up to #4 from #6 on Big Daddy. On non BD DCs it stays on #3.

My local Google is switching constantly between BD and non BD for one week.

Maybe it is just some flux.

Looks like a PR rollback rather than an update to me.

PR Rollback hitting a lot of DCs at the moment.

Still think that PR is not behaving correctly at the moment and not sure what is used on BD.

BD is on 14 of the 25 C-Classes that are shown on a well-known tool at the moment - cant wait until this is fully deployed and the new infastructure starts to work.

BTW Reseller - where are you?

I've seen a number of ranking changes in our sites and the page rank query discussion in this forum here [webmasterworld.com] suggest PR changes for two sites too. None of this makes me happy so far, and seems unrelated to BD

Yes, that thread does seem to indicate a possible PR change - however, I have not seen any of those figures that those queries suggest live on a DC.

The DCs which are showing different PR to me are definetly old - no doubt about it.

On the seo chat future PR tool, I see a new PR in the toolbar reading, but on the actual toobar I have no change. Curiouser and curiouser.

On that tool I only see old PR. A good test is to see Mattcutts site - his site was a PR0 and went to a PR5 on the last update.

That tool shows some DC reverting back to 0 - deffo old PR.

There is no pr update. There have been numerous threads on ww since the bd thing started. There seems to be a flux back and forth between old pr and the most recent pr. Perhaps after bd stabilizes we will see an update. Seems to be what MC is saying.

I have said this before and at one point it looks as if Big Daddy had fixed this, but it is back:

What I have been noticing is far too much weight being given to .co.uk and .ca sites in the USA serps.
So a common search would produce:
keyword.com (valuable site)
keyword.co.uk (Of no value in the USA)
keyword.ca (Of no value in the USA)

I would expect this on google.co.uk and google.ca, but not here.

It is making a mess of the serps with valuable sites that were in the top five results dropping down the page.

Funny, just when i was thinking AOLs results were very good - gawd knows what they are doing with the results at the plex now.

How do you access US Serps? - I can only access .com - which obv. should not be just for US serps or weighted in favour of US sites either - I cant access Google.us - it redirects to Google.com

I am saying this a bit tongue in cheek - of course a certain amount of local biased can take place in .com based on IP address - but .com is not for US sites.

Which DC's are now BD? I can't tell (canonical pages appear split 50/50 between two pages across the DC's with some DC's not showing improvements at all) and it seems to have ground to a halt for ages for my site...
