All indications are pointing in the direction that we are approaching heavy changes in Google's index infrastructure. Matt has confirmed that several times. As such its of importance at present to keep an eye opened on possible changes on Google's datacenters.
In fact watching and analyzing changes on the DCs of high importance, IMO. Because it tells us much about what do we expect tomorrows serps to look like, and might take actions regarding our sites in good time.
Some of us are addicted DCs Watchers and we do that with passion and there is no doubt about our spirit of sharing our observations with the rest of our kind fellow members . However, we are often blamed of hijacking other threads if we have no place to post our observations and remarks ;-)
For you passionate Google Datacenters Watchers, I'm starting this thread.
Let those observations, analysis and remarks coming.
Thanks!
To those of you who wish to see BigDaddy at present, you can find it on this datacenter:
[66.249.93.104...]
Do you see anything different than what you use to see before on that DC, that you wish to share?
As to the rest of the DCs, I still see the usual reshuffling / everflux.
I'm sorry to say that of the 10 or so keywords I follow my site appears to be listed in a position it was in last year, around October. I dont follow the names of the updates but it looks to me like the results I was seeing before the last update.
Also the site: and link: command show EXACTLY the result I was seeing pre October update. At the moment and for the last few months G has reported over 10x the actual number of pages.
My Analysis: I really don't see anything different to 3 or 4 months ago.
My Observations: The spammy sites that were ranking before October update are gone in the ACTUAL serps and have re-appeared in the Test DC in the positions they were in before.
My Remarks: Nothing has changed from where I am sat except a roll back to pre October. I was sort of hoping for a little more maybe.

The data is live again at [66.249.93.104...]
Mind you - I personally dont think there is anything worth discussing until it actually at least looks like the data is going to spread - I mean it has been there for 6-8 weeks on and off and no progress.
No signs of ranking updates for the sites that have wrongly fallen out of the serps in february time either.
This morning default Google and all DC's are returning our site in the top ten for major terms.
At present google.co.uk is alternating between Big Daddy results and these default results.
Very good news for me but this may not reflect a general DC update and may have happended for other reasons as the page in question was changed slightly and then re-cached on 1.1.06.
It was a small change to <H1> tags so I am surprised at the sudden re-appearance.
Has anybody else seen a similar change on the non Big Daddy DC's?

Talking about the rest of the DCs. I have noticed today on some DCs, in the sector I watch and my test keyphrases, few new sites appearing on top 10 which were not there before. Maybe its just the reshuffling/ everflux that I have mentioned in a previous post. And of course, it might as well be something else ;-)

Very interesting observation. I recall a previous thread where some related issues were discussed.
I've already bought adwords but let me tell you, nothing monetizes like #1 position.
The Serps for my phrase have certainly changed over.
Well, at least I kind of know how I did it, but a lot of it was luck. And, oh, the URL that logically should be #1 is still not, (it's #2 with no descriptive text in the search result).
The number 1 URL now uses a lot of H1 text. Guess that stupid trick still works!
Oh, a blog I started 2 weeks ago with 3 or 4 small enbtries is #10 in the results even though many more relevant URLs should be ahead of mine.
So basically, there's no logic to why I was #1 and there is still no logic. But thanks for the cash, Google, it helps keep me motivated to play this game.
The same thing happened to me. From Sat. 7th Jan. I suddenly ranked among the top 10 (used to be around 25 - 29)without having made any significant changes. All MacDar centres now show identical first 10 results for my keyword. I have never seen this before, there used to be a lot of variation between the centres. BigDaddy also shows my site in the same improved position on p.1.
Yesterday the cache said 1 January, but today most centres (including BigDaddy) seem to have reverted to an old cache from 27 Dec. but the serp positions are the same.

Very interesting as this is exactly what has happened to our site. Our cache date is still 1.1.06 on both BD and non BD DC's. Aour positions on BD are different within the top then though.
For those complaining about BS and DC watching I would have thought wasting time posting on threads your not interested in was equally dumb (IMHO).
Why not just leave those that want to discuss DC changes that may just indicate SERPS changes amd show logical patterns get on with it while you get down to more hard work.
Now, they have gone back to how they were before Sunday (showing an older Cache date - yesterday it was Jan07 now it is Dec27)...what could be happening?
PS...the results that have been showing on my default google ARE NOT the same as Jagger (similar, but not the same)
This everflux / resuffling which are going on on the DCs aren't generating good relevant serps within the sector I watch; online advertising and marketing.
I see several serps sets, but most of them containes few irrelevant sites at top 10.
Oh..btw, your BigDaddy appeared again at the moment on DC
