>> Also, what is the exact code I should place in my .htaccess file to redirect so I don't see non www pages showing up in the serps. <<

If your webserver uses Apache then try this code:

Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain\.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$
http://www.domain.com/$1 [R=301,L]

If the update was supposed to address problems with supplemental results and the various canonical URL issues, then it hasn't even started.

The number of quality/useful pages not showing in the SERP's as a result of this is a real shame. If anything, the lead DC seems worse than ever in this regard. An optimist would say that the update is still in progress.

Hi Folks

Because we have no access at the moment to part-2 of this thread, allow me to re-post my shameless anti-spam promotion spot :-)

Don't wait to send Jagger-related spam feedback; I'd send that now. Using the keyword "Jagger3" at [google.com...] will get someone reading and checking it out.

Analysis of J3,

1. Brand new Spammy Cloaked site after jagger3 - doing well.

2. Five year old white hat site - slammed and not worth the effort.

Solution: Spam & cloak, spam and cloak.

Thats all you need to know about jagger3.

Both Matt & GG have mentioned that the folks are going through spam reports. But I guess its a complex process, because they must verify each spam report just to be sure that they don't penalize innocent people.
GG also mentioned that it takes time to remove big spam sites from the index.

In fact some fellow members have mentioned in part 2 or part 1 of this thread that they have noticed the spam sites they reported have been removed.

Friend. The least you can do in this case is to report that spammer to Google. Such spammer shouldn't be doing well on the serps.

I reported multiple obvious spam sites. They're still doing very well (2.5 billion pages in the index). Has anybody had succes with their spam reports?

Anybody else seeing a little odd "stemming' behaviour in the J3 results?

One site that I watch, I type in a phrase without an "s" (big red widget) and the page from the site shows in the top 10 results. Then I type in the phrase with an "s" (big red widgets) and the page in down towards #30.

What is odd is that the links to the page as well as the text on the page is strictly "big red widgets".

Reseller,

Er? Thats MY spammy cloaked site that doing well...

The old site is also mine but doing badly.

Dont think I can bring myself to create a spam report!

Especially after my nice white hat site gets slammed.
