Backlinks and PR are updating

Most of my sites have changed, some have gone up dramatically.

I'm seeing movement in Toolbar PR right now on 3 data centres...

66.102.7.104

I know I shouldn't be but I'm quite excited because I moved domains a couple of months ago and it looks like I've got a PR5 on the new domain.

I know there have been rumours for a few days now but I'm sure this is happening. Is anyone else seeing this?

I'm also seeing another backlinks update on those data centres. I'm up from 179 to 307 backlinks, even though the last one was only a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah. I'm thrilled about this. A 2 month old domain with PR5... I'm delighted. Proof that the backlinks from the old domain name that I 301'd are working and being carried over.

yep... I was waiting for my PR4 last update and knew I should have moved up but it didn't come.
So to test my theory, I didn't add a single recip link, submit a single article.... just continued to add content... and IF those datacenters are correct, then nice to see extra green pixels.

Yes, my 4 months old site displays a PR.

Also, with regard to backlink update, I see 3 different sets: One group of databases show no update, while others show 2 different sets of backlinks. For example,

Backlinks at [66.249.93.104...] (updated) are different than those at [216.239.53.104...] (also updated)

Looks like they may have already discarded another mucked up update. No new PR on any datacenter I've tried in past ten minutes.

Backlinks are updated too.

If this update stays, then it is going to be a complete PR update in a long time. Last time around, I remember, only new pages got PR and existing PR stayed the same. But now I can see different PR for old pages too and in my case better :-)

One of my websites has gone from PR3 to PR0 on these DCs even though many more links have been added in the last few months. I can't help thinking (hoping) that this is a mistake.

The PR update in those 3 DCs mentioned seems to be for pages created before August.

I have two blogposts, one dated August 18th, and the other July 15th. Now, the July post has a pr4, while the August post has a pr0. Is there anyone with similar observations?

I see backlinks for the first time on the latter, it's only internal links although I have many incoming links >=PR5 (their keywords already work, but they are not listed).
I still see no TPR on them, the content is 3 months old ranking very good, and the domain some years old.

edit: I see TPR now. The toolbar was looking at toolbarqueries.google.de O_o

Well, I'm happy with this update. My site is now showing a dramatic improvement, from PR3 to PR6.

That's not too bad for an Adult site.

Even Playboy is only a PR7!

Backlink and pagerank updates without really getting any "updated" serp movements is getting kinda strange.

I guess the sandbox has evolved so much that it took over how Google operates everything in the serps.

Put that in your /etc/hosts file (windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts or so in windows?):
toolbarqueries.google.com 216.239.53.104

Then clear your cache, close your browser and open it again. Now the green bar will show the TPR from that DC. In some cases you have to use toolbarqueries.google.XX (where XX is your countries TLD).

I am kind of surprised on the back links though, I just put up a webpage (Level 3) three days ago and it is showing in as a back link to many pages.

Rightly or wrongly, I use it as a rough indicator as to whether my internal linking is effective or not. If PR decreasing, I see that as a measure that my navigation is not as logical as it should be.
