Different DataCenters probably, but I'm seeing new SERP for everything I search for... that I'm familiar enough with to notice a change. So Cal

Why wouldn't Google want to serve up mobile-friendly results in mobile search?

I guess people are pretty disappointed because of all the hype, working hard to make your site responsive and then seeing little change in the serps. We were lead to believe this would be a real shake up "BIGGER THAN PANDA AND PENGUIN" google employees went on the record saying. Instead we get this a damp squib of an update thats barely changed the serps at all.

Some sectors may not have changed much, others did see changes. When one of my pages moves from the middle of page 2 up to the very top spot on page 1, I'd call that significant and that happened almost immediately. I saw other similar movement all during the week, YMMV. Again, it's the *hype* that was the let-down.

Also, most of the hype came from the press. (I don't know who came up with "Mobilegeddon," but the term was more about attracting pageviews than anything else.)

In any case, today was the first day when I saw a meaningful increase in mobile traffic since the update began: just under 10 percent, compared to 3 percent or so for desktop and tablet (compared to the same day two weeks ago). I use the word "meaningful" because, over the past few weeks, our site's desktop and tablet traffic has been growing at a faster rate than mobile traffic. Is today's mobile boost a sign that the update is starting to have some impact on the queries that I follow? Or is it just a blip? Too early to tell.
