hundreds of sites that link me, are ahead for "mydomain.com". Is this the sandbox? 6-7 year old site btw.

Our website no where to be seen under company name, we were glad we just got out of the sandbox, site launched last august and started showing in the first page for company name, since yesterday however site is NO WHERE to be seen under ALL keywords even the most obscure.

I really think google should get their act together, both MSN and Yahoo are showing us in the first page for same keyword.

Even –asdf is not showing us anymore..

A query for "my company name":

#1 in MSN
#1 in Yahoo
#4 in Google

I've been in business for 6 years, I've always been #1 for "my company name". (Which is fairly unique)

Some sites that link to me using my name show up in positions 1,2,3 on Google.

How relevant is this? If I did a search for Wal-mart and got people who linked to them, is this a good SERP return?

I did a search for a major car dealer today on its brand name and location.

The first three pages of Google results were all 'directory' sites (ie useless uninformative junk - and Adsense ads).

I gave up and looked at Yellow Pages

"Some of the people who LINK TO ME using my name show up in positions 1,2,3 on Google."
Google is seriously broken. Many sites are vanishing for no reason and appearing month later. Some appear, some disappear.

I seriously hope these guys wake up, drink some Red Bull or whatever and fix this nonsense. From nowhere to #1 and then back to nowhere in just a few days. Almost 7 years-old site with close to 350 unique-domain links, many with "Mydomain.com" and not rank anywhere for that term? Hundreds of other links pages rank before my site. What kind of a joke is that?

As much as I am happy for my two sites out of sandbox now, the same thing happened to one of my 4 year old authority whitehat site and I am completely baffled. The site is a huge subdomain of a main site and has what I can call 1000's of healthy one-way links. Interestingly the other subdomains are exactly where they were before. No ups or downs for them.

robster124, I am glad we have this board to vent our frustration!, I did wrote google however, I know many say it is useless, but I see no harm in letting them know their engine is broken!

Powdork - its the case here too, few sites are further deep down in the sandbox. Apparently the only site that is let off from the sandbox is the oldest (about 10 months) and the ones that are still sandboxed are launched in the last 5 months. Sandbox naysayers, go figure.

Google is always changing on an ongoing basis, tweak, tweak and tweak more.
