where to place feed(s) for optimal SEO?

what kinds of pages?

how high/low in the site hierarchy?

where on the page?

is more than one feed OK?

I always place the RSS on nearly everypage and high on the page.<snip>

My theory is that by putting the RSS in plain view, I'll get a lot of subscribers. I have 2000+ on The RSS Blog.

Don't confuse the reader with more than one RSS feed. Use RSS 2.0, because it works with all RSS clients.

to clarify, i'm talking about placing someone else's feed on my site.
