HI! I am trying to figure out why my ie6 will not open some javascript jpgs. If I go to a website that has a link to a picture through javascript, nothing happens. I have tried the trouble shooting help page through microsoft and I have it enabled in my browser. I have even installed direct x 9.

I am pretty sure it is a javascript problem, but I am at a stand still on what to try next.

I am running winXP (home), I have a 120gig HD and an pentium 4 processor.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Erika

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, ekahefe!

Could be a number of things. One thing to check is if you have some kind of ad blocker or pop-up blocker running. For example if you have Norton Internet Security, try diable the Ad Blocker.

WOW!

Thanks! I disabled it (I have Norton antivirus/firewall), then I deleted my temp internet files and then tried to click a link and BAM! It worked!

Thanks soo much!

I would never have thought of that!

Hugs,

Erika

Glad to help. I'd suggest to keep Norton as a whole enabled, just disable the ad-blocker part. (Maybe that's what you meant, but just to be clear ;) )
