Using javascript to post smilies/images in blog

hey all

Does anyone know of any open source scripts that will enhance posting to a blog? For example, inserting smilies, and a javascript to link to a photo, and give options on how to diaplay it on the page.. (eg. have the option to align text to the left or right or clear)

This seems too complex for me so im thinking an open souce solution would be great, but ive had no luck finding anything

TinyMCE allows text formating, image upload/insertion, and link insertion. You would have to programm it into your current blog software though.

Just search google for TinyMCE.

That seems like a good text editor, but it doesnt seem to work on safari.. Whatever i put on my site i want cross-browser compatable
