PDA Javascript Compatibility

Are PDAs javascript capable

I am working on a site right now for a client who wants to be able to use the site from their palm treo web-enabled pda phone. There are some portions of the site that would benefit from the use of javascript but I don't want to break the site's functionality for the palm treo device.

On a side note, does anyone know if this same device is able to use cookies?

I am posting this from a Treo 600, which accepts cookies and has an option setting of whether or not to run javascript.

Those which run Windows, for example, or are otherwise capable of installing software (like browsers) should have both cookie and JavaScript capabilities (although likely to be optional). Other may or may not accept cookies or be able to run JavaScript.

I have two devices; Dell Axim X51v PDA WM 5.1 and a 2032SP Toshiba PDS/Phone WM 2003. Both can not be configured to disable javascript with Pocket Internet Explorer or Internet Explorer Mobile, what ever MS is calling this 3.x version of IE. I have Minimo installed on the Axim and it not only runs javascript it also supports XMLHTTP (Pocket Internet Explorer does not). I'm writing a data collection / HR management application for some remote clients that only have access to the Verizon wireless network (no WiFi), they are about 90 miles from the nearest town. These devices run so fast it scares me; the application uses list boxes for most of the items, the user scans the pallets after attaching a bar code then takes a picture of the pallet and transmits the data to the back end PHP server. I'm working mostly with the Axim, the screen is unreal and the 600mhz processor makes this painless. When we move to the field the plan is the Treo 700w but we are waiting to see if someone comes out with a unit that has a better screen and an up to date OS (WM 5.0.2).
