Rotating text ads

similar to Google Adwords

I am trying to create a feature using JavaScript that is similar to Adwords in respect to the ability to rotate text-based ads.

Rather then use an ad server, I want to have a external html file that will be called by the JavaScript. The html file will use CSS to format style along with basic html commands.

I envision the concept working like this:

4 text ads in a 4 column table. At a as of yet to be determined interval, I would like the text ads to rotate out and have 4 new text ads rotate in. I'd like to be able to run 5 rotation sets with each containing 4 ads.

If you know of a script available please sticky me. If you can think of a better way of achieving my concept, feel free to suggest another method.

I'm looking to accomplish the same task but have other projects further in the front of the line than this one.

Anyway I was thinking of seperate xml rss feeds per ad array to be called dynamically via javascript or asp.net (so I can pull the ads to any of my sites without the need for scattered files.)

I'll be touching on this project probably sometime next month, so you may see more about it from me.

It appears either no one is interested in JavaScript or very few people on the boards are familar with it, because I noticed a great deal of the posts going unanswered.

RSS is an innteresting option. Don't know much about it, but will research it today.
