Scroller with controls

We'll I must be blind. I'm sure this has been answered a thousand times... please bear with me... I can't find a dhtml scroller allowing 'button' controls.

I'm a bit out of my comfort zone with Javascript so I'm looking for something pre-developed that will allow me to add custom 'up and down' buttons to scroll a list in a div tag. Personally I'm not a fan of such frivilous dhtml, but the what the client wants the client should get ;)

Can anyone suggest a robust, cross browser scroller with free license?

It's not fantastic, but I've customised it to my needs.
