Dynamic link help

create link containing yearday function

Just started to learn javascript, here I have a question and hope you pros could answer, many thanks in advance!

Briefly, I want to set up some links that looks like this:
[2005_yearday_pic.htm,...]
and I want the "yearday" part to be dynamic and can change with respect to the viewer's computer date.

I think the better way is to build it on a server side(
