heya,

I am having issues with a simple javascript pop up window in an email newsletter that my company sends out...

within Outlook, the script simply does not work. Yet outside of Outlook the link is fine and does as it should.

is it true that Microsoft Outlook does not accept javascript at all? the help menu says nothing about it...

cheers!

if that was the case viruses wouldn't be able to circulate so readily, so of course Outlook supports JS. however, Outlook may be blocking popups (not a good idea in a newsletter - very nasty). also, XP/SP2 (if it's installed) may be blocking them as well.

solution: don't use friggin popups ... no one wants them!

thanks for the info...

don't suppose you know where I can find any detailed info on javascript support for Outlook would you?

as always, the Microsoft help is dumbed down and has no info... been googling as well but not tonnes of luck.

would like to explore this a bit further.
