'symrealwinopen' is undefined is the error shown to me.

<script
language=JavaScript>
<!--

window.open = SymRealWinOpen;

//-->
</script>

thought i would just remove this script. well it solved this wrror but about 4 more cropped up while navigating the internal pages. this error comes on my home page and is really hurting me. Please help. I will PM the url of the site, if you want more details since I do not have much knowledge of it and my programmer has been unable to solve this problem.

Really urgent, so guys help me out.

Are you running Symantec (Norton) software - something like their anti-virus or firewall?

Symantec often adds javascript into downloaded pages using variables that begin with "Sym" - if so, it looks like you took HTML from View Page (that is from your cache) and then uploaded that HTML to the server instead of original pages.

i would like all of you to read this [board.digital-nw.com...]

last night deleting the said code did not work, i am hoping that with this information and yes it is due to norton, I will be better equipped to make the page error free. If any of you have ideas plz lemme know.

Go into Norton Internet Security and turn Ad Blocking off. If you then have problems with pop up ads, for gosh sakes, quit using IE. Mozilla, or Firefox, heck, Mosaic is a better choice. Mozilla & Firefox have an internal ad blocking capability, Mosaic doesn't do JavaScript (or CSS or DOM, etc.), but what do you expect for 1997?

Okay, I lied about Mosaic being a better choice. Mozilla and Firefox, however, make IE look as archaic as Mosaic.
